And summer had finally come! In a thrill, Danny had already packed his bags. He and his closest friends; Bryant, Francisco, Matt, and Allen were walking through the halls of the college toward his dorm room the night before the wedding. Danny had figured that he could get the baggage loaded before they left to save some time.
"So, nervous?" Bryant asked him. Danny smiled.
"Nervous? HA! I laugh in the face of nervousness...yes, I'm terrified..." he answered, his voice lowering as he admitted the truth.
"What are you scared about?" Francisco asked him.
"Probably because we haven't taken him to the bachelor party yet," Matt laughed.
"Why would I be nervous about that?" Danny laughed falsely.
"I think we just need to get these bags in that car and get going!" Allen sighed. Danny agreed. The 6 of them went into his dorm room and took the bags to the car.

Danny was already getting ready at 5 in the morning. He was ready for the wedding. They had it scheduled for 10 o' clock but he was nervous. He was finally getting married. His whole family would be there. But that wasn't the part that made him nervous. It was the fact that Lalaine's whole family was going to be there! Grr...this was going to be a rough day! But he was ready. Lalaine was still sleeping in her dormitory, but he knew Allen wasn't. Allen always woke up early to start his day off early. So Danny had put on some blue jeans and a white T-shirt with some gym shoes, and walked over to the door of the dormitory. He looked at Bryant sleep, and sighed, walking out of the room. Bryant had no idea what he was going through.
Danny walked over to Allen's dorm door and knocked.
"Hold up a second!" Allen's voice came from behind the door. Allen pulled open the door, standing there with black pants on and sliding a red T-shirt over himself.
"Man, let's go for a walk!" Danny said with a sigh. Allen agreed, and they started walking outside of the college.
"What's up?" Allen asked him as they had been walking for 2 minutes without saying a word.
"I'm nervous as hell, man," Danny told him.
"It's gonna be aight...." Allen told him. Danny nodded and sat down on the bench outside of the school "We just gotta go to the wedding. It'll be over before you know it." Allen reassured him. Danny nodded, looking over into the trees. He could have sworn he saw a flame in the trees. He blinked, but saw nothing when he opened his eyes.
"Did you just see...?" he started. Allen shook his head. Danny snickered.
"Aight. I'mma go to the chapel. I'll see you later, aight?" Danny said.
"Ok. See you later." And they both got up and went separate ways.

Danny parked in front of the chapel a few hours later. The chapel had been locked at 5 in the morning, so he just drove around. He sat in his convertible for a few seconds in silence. He just tried to calm himself, but the butterflies in his stomach weren't helping with that. He looked down the street to see the construction a few blocks down. He watched as they were building a new Lowe's. They were raising a stone, but it fell and crashed on the ground. Danny shook his head and hopped out of the car, walking up the steps and up to the chapel. He tried to open the door, but the handle snapped. He sighed out of anger, and tossed it down the stairs. The priest, dressed in all black with the white square on the collar of his neck walked out of the building, muttering something about a gas leak on the inside of the building. Danny grabbed the door before it closed.
"Hey, the handle just snapped."
"It's ok. It's been doing that lately." Danny grinned and walked inside the chapel. He looked around before walking downstairs into the dressing room. He knew everybody was already waiting for him. That the crowd was already in the chapel, talking amongst themselves waiting for the wedding to begin. He pulled the door open and looked inside, watching as Allen and Matt were playing a game of Jenga. Just as Danny walked in, Matt turned his body and the building collapsed. Danny chuckled and walked over to Francisco.
"I gotta get dressed."
"Go ahead. In the bathroom."
Danny did as he was told, putting on his tuxedo. In 5 minutes he was ready, and the wedding was about to begin. He went upstairs, along with Bryant, his best man. Danny walked down the aisle by himself, Bryant walking out with Krysta, Allen walking out with Jerica, Francisco walking out with Gina, and Matt walking out with Elise. After a few songs, the bride was about to come out.
"Daddy, don't smoke in the chapel!" Danny heard Lalaine tell her dad as they walked down the aisle. Her dad was reaching in his jacket, pulling out a cigarette. He pulled out a lighter as they reached the stage, and began to try and light it.
"Daddy! Go downstairs and smoke!" Lalaine cried. He walked out of the chapel without another word. Danny smiled, held Lalaine's hand, and turned to the priest. He grinned to them.
"We are gathered here today in holy matrimony to bring together these two lovely young people, Danny Goodwin and Lalaine-"
"Just Lalaine!" She whispered to him. Light giggles from the guests.
"Ok, Lalaine. Before I begin the vows if anyone has any reason for why these two should not be together, speak now or forever hold your peace," the priest said. No one said anything. Danny squeezed Lalaine's hand out of instinct just as he turned around to look at the guests. No one had done anything. He smiled, and started to turn around. Before he could, a loud explosion was heard in the basement. No one had a chance to react before the floor erupted in holes and bubbles of fire stretched from them. The decorations were lit aflame, and the floor started to burn. Everyone who was standing jumped on the ground to avoid the explosion.
"What's going on?!" Danny yelled. No one had a chance to respond. The building shook roughly. The floor was melting. All the guests were trying to flee the building, but the constant explosions were stopping them. Gina, horrified, hopped to her feet to run. No sooner she got up, a foundation holding the chapel up lost it's balance, and began tearing toward the floor. She looked up in fear as it landed on her, forcing another large hole in the burning floor.
"RUN!" Lalaine yelled. She got to her feet, along with Danny, and they sprinted away from the podium. Danny looked back to see Francisco, Allen, Jerica, Matt, Elise, Bryant, and Krysta running after him. Another explosion put another hole in the floor, and a bubble of fire spread next to Francisco. Francisco let out a yelp of terror as he jumped away from the fire, colliding into Matt and pushing him out of a window. He fell through the air before landing on the spiked fence...head first. Francisco tripped over the bench and fell onto the ground, breaking the melting floor and falling through another hole. Elise tried to hop over the hole, but tripped over her dress and collapsed on the ground. The running guests trampled her, running over her as though she was just a rug. Allen managed to trip over her, and he ended up catching fire. He screamed in pain as he tried to get to his feet. The guests wouldn't allow it. His skin melting, holes forming in the muscle underneath the skin, Allen collapsed lifeless.
It was now only Bryant, Krysta, Danny, Jerica, and Lalaine left. They ran across the melting carpert of the entrance hall, trying to get out the front doors like so many were doing. But the guests took no notice. One opened the door as hard as he could, and it smacked Bryant in the face. He fell to the ground, falling through another hole in the floor. Another explosion took place, and the floor pretty much gave way. Lalaine, Danny, and Krysta managed to jump out of the building before it happened. Jerica wasn't as fortunate. She fell down into the burning flames in the basement, burning alive.
Lalaine and Danny instantly got to their feet, but Krysta had gotten hurt. She had landed on her shoulder on the stone floor, and had broken it. Another foundation from inside the chapel collapsed, the chapel began to rock, and the whole building collapsed. Danny and Lalaine jumped down the stairs, trying to dodge the debris. A piece of debris landed directly on Krysta, killing her. Lalaine stumbled and rolled away from the building, and into the street. Danny ran over to her to help her, but couldn't take his eyes off of the collapsed chapel that was still exploding and blowing flames. Danny leaned next to Lalaine, helping her to her feet.
"You ok?"
"Yeah..." she said. He sighed, and hugged her tight. A horn came from behind him. A scream tore at his ear. It belonged to Lalaine. Danny turned around to see a semi truck heading toward them, inches away. Before he could move, it made collision.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With a gasp of terror, Danny woke up. He pulled his head off of the steering wheel, looking at the chapel. He was sweating. The chapel was still in one piece. He sighed. It was just a dream. A bad dream. It seemed like a hallucination. Was that another sign? He looked down the street at the construction. Nothing had happened. Nothing had dropped. He forced a smile of relief, hopping out of the convertible and running up the stairs. He turned the knob on the chapel door. Before he could even inject plenty of strength into it, the knob broke off. In horror, he backed away from the door. A crash came from his side. He looked down the street to hear screams coming from the construction site down the street. Something had fallen. Another bead of sweat tore down his forehead. He knew what this was now. He turned back to the door just in time to see the priest walk out of the building, muttering about a gas leak. He gasped in horror and ran inside, and downstairs from the entrance hall. He ran into the men's dressing room, tearing the door open. Allen and Matt looked up at him, and one of Matt's mistakes led to the game of Jenga ending.
Danny gasped painfully as he slammed against the wall, and slumped down it. Francisco, followed by the others, ran to him.
"What's wrong?! Danny, what's up?!"
"We're all gonna die! The chapel is gonna explode!"
