|| Till Death Does Us Apart
Chapter 12

"I don't wanna die," Lalaine said as they slowed down.

"It just skipped you," Danny said, "For now, you're safer than any of us." He looked at the store they stopped at. A man was sitting peacefully with an older woman; most likely his mother, his foot wrapped in his chair. He tried to pull it out, but one of his feet were tangled in the bars.

"Oh, I'm stuck!" he laughed, pulling his foot off of the chair. Danny looked over at the store across the street. Old Man's Railroad Shack. Hmm...was all of this a sign? He could try to save someone...if only he knew who was next.

"Man...I don't wanna stay here..." Allen groaned, sitting in one of the chairs outside the restaurant. Sirens were closing in. Danny looked at the group. They were all tired. But they couldn't get taken to the police station. Or could they? Would they be safer? Danny decided. They would be safer. He could hear the sound of a train approaching on the railroad down the street.
He looked at the group. No one was paying him no mind. He decided to let them be taken in for questioning, and to go off on his own. To end this once and for all. He backed away from the group, and when he was at a far enough distance, he turned around, and sprinted down the street. Lalaine must have been watching him. Her eyes followed him down the street.

"Where are you going?!" she yelled after him. She turned to sprint after him. Chrissy whined as everyone followed the two, and she was left alone.

"Wait for me!" she groaned, sprinting after them. Sirens raged. They were getting closer. Danny looked behind him, seeing the cop cars turn the corner. They obviously saw them running, so they sped down the street after them. Danny reached the railroad. Wait. Something wasn't right.
Old Man's Railroad Shack? "Oh, I'm stuck?" No. Somebody was going to die. Right here. He turned.

"NO! STAY BACK!" he yelled. Too late. Everyone had caught up. Danny looked down the railroad tracks. He saw the train coming.

"Let's get off the tracks, yeah?" Francisco said. Everyone agreed. They jogged off the tracks, and watched as the cop cars closed in.

"Wait!" Aaron yelled from behind them.

"What?" Chrissy said with a giggle, turning to him.

"Oh! I'm stuck!" he yelled, bent over on the tracks trying to pull his foot from the track. It was stuck. It wasn't coming out.

"NO!" Chrissy screamed. She sprinted onto the tracks. Everyone did. They surrounded him, hands grabbing at his leg. The train was closing in, the horn from it raging. The one of the cop cars stopped at the track, and the cops hopped out of the car. The others were still closing in.

"Everyone off the track! Everyone off!" one police copped yelled. No one complied. They were all freaking out for Aaron.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME!" Aaron cried. The train was coming fast. This was all happening too fast. They didn't weren't having enough time to breath before Death went to the next person. But that was how Death wanted it. To make it easier to kill them all.

"HELP HIM!" Chrissy screamed at the cops. They scrambled onto the tracks as well, pushing everyone else aside to grab at Aaron's leg. Safety precautions were taken, especially those of calm. They stayed calm, reached a hand into the track, and pulled Aaron's foot safely off the track. They shoved him into safety.

"JESUS CHRIST! CAN WE BREATHE FOR A SECOND?!" Lalaine screamed to no one. That question was answered as the other cop cars pulled up. The tire exploded on one of them, and the car went spiraling into the air. The cops that were on the railroad track hopped off just in time. The train passed by them just as they landed on the ground. The spiraling car went onto the sidewalk and hit a fire hydrant. There, it stopped. Danny looked at Chrissy. She was next.

"Watch out, Chrissy. You should be next," he said to her. With a whine, she nodded. The water from the hydrant smacked into the electricity wire above it. The wire slipped from it's pole, and began to fall toward the ground, swinging over to the group.

"Watch out!" Chrissy yelled. The wire wasn't coming at her. It was coming at Francisco. He looked at it, eyes wide. Allen hopped to his feet and tackled Francisco to the ground. The wire passed him, just barely. Allen got to his feet, and pointed at Francisco.

"Why did it go after him?" he asked, "You said that in your vision he was third to die! What about her?" he switched his finger to Chrissy. She whimpered.

"I never did see her die..." Danny said.

"Why were you in the church?" Aaron asked her. Chrissy whimpered again.

"I had to use the phone because my cell phone wasn't working. I heard there was a wedding so I was gonna stay," Chrissy groaned.

"Why did your phone die?" Lalaine asked her.

"I don't know. I saw all of you come outside the church and all of a sudden it died! I was on a business call-,"

"She was never meant to die in the explosion!" Francisco interrupted.

"Because you intervened and saved us, she got involved," Allen gasped.

"But why would Death involve her?" Lalaine asked.

"To fool us. To throw us off the list so that he could get one of us when we were least expecting it," Danny explained.

"Who?" Aaron asked.

"The one who started it all...it all makes sense now!" Danny's eyes spread. He had completely forgotten about the list. If Francisco had just got intervened...

"ALLEN!" Too late. The wire came swinging back toward them. Allen ducked just in time. The wire continued to swing, across the street, and into cop car near them. It slammed into the back of the car, where the gas tank was. A spark ignited itself. The car took fire and exploded. The heat of the explosion sent the only person standing, Allen, flying. He cried out to no one as he slammed into a large window of a nearby building. The window was large; stretching from floor to ceiling. But Allen wasn't dead.

"Allen, are you ok?!" Lalaine screamed.

"Yeah...I'm fine..." Allen grunted from the building.

"It's not over yet! No one intervened!" Danny tried to tell them. Once again he thought too late. The glass above Allen, which had not broken, broke free. The glass tore through the air, and slammed onto Allen.

"NOOO!" Chrissy screamed in horror. She had been used as a decoy. A decoy that would end up killing Allen. Lalaine got to her feet and ran over to the scene. Allen was dead. Split in half at the hips.

"No..." Lalaine fell to her knees, in tears.

"You have to die!" Chrissy screamed, pointing at Danny.

"No! No! No! You got it all wrong! I'm not the one who started it!" Danny explained.

"You had the visions!" Francisco pointed out. Aaron sat in shock, not saying a word.

"But I didn't start it! I just kept it going! The one who started it opened the rift! The one...," Danny stopped in his tracks. Aaron had gotten to his feet.

"It's me...isn't it?" he said quietly. Chrissy looked at him, and a tear strolled down her cheek.

"No! No! NO!!!" she tried to stand up and grab him. He pushed her back down.

"I'm sorry..." Aaron said, and kissed her softly on the cheek. Danny stared up at Aaron. Lalaine looked over to everyone. She had no idea what was going on.

"I have to die..." Aaron left his last words at that. He turned around, and sprinted away from the scene. He grabbed the wire, which was still moving about with a spark. He grabbed the wire, and shoved it down his throat. His body shook violently before the cord fell out and landed finally, the spark extinguished. Aaron, with burn marks all over his body and his hair sticking on end, fell down to the cement. Danny knew it was all over. But somehow he didn't care. He had lost all his friends. All except 3. And he knew that it would never truly be over. For if another rift was opened in Death's design, they'd go through the same thing again. And every year there would be more and more escapes as people became more aware of the being that truly existed. But they wouldn't be able to run forever.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the preacher smiled. Danny and Lalaine looked at each other, then to the audience. It was very small. Chrissy's friends, and their friends. No family.
Danny and Lalaine no longer had family. Francisco stood tall, with a smile on his face as he was the best man. Chrissy was the Maid of Honor. Somehow this wedding didn't mean as much to Danny anymore. No one to celebrate it with but 3 other people. But he didn't care.
He was married to the woman he loved. Forever. A few months had passed since the death of all of his friends and family. But at least now they were completely over it, and they could get on with their lives. They finally got the courage to step into a chapel and marry. Do what started the journey so many years ago.

"You know," Chrissy bragged to her friends as Danny and Lalaine pulled close to kiss, "Aaron Carter liked me. If he hadn't died...we would've been together..." Chrissy broke off. She still wasn't over Aaron dying.

BAM! The doors of the chapel flew open. An anonymous man pulled into the room. Everyone's heads snapped over to him.

"OH MY GOD! THERE'S JUST BEEN A HUGE CAR ACCIDENT OUTSIDE! I NEED HELP! I BARELY ESCAPED!"

Francisco looked over to Chrissy, who covered her mouth with a silent shriek. Lalaine and Danny looked at each other. They pulled their faces closer, and touched their lips together, pulling each other into a romantic kiss. People turned to look at the kiss. A kiss that would be one to remember forever. They broke the kiss and pulled each other into a hug. And with that, the chapel collapsed, killing everyone inside.

Yes, this fic is over. However, that is not the last fic from me! Once I get a story for another completely different fic I will be posting it. If you want a spot, you know how to contact me (go to Writers, click on my name "Danny" and email me). Aaron most likely will be in it, alot with others. Not sure if it'll be so graphic, lol, but yeah. You'll most likely still be in it if you email me soon enough. Until then, peace and pixie sticks guys, TDDUP is done!
