A month had passed and neither Maz, Emma, Nem, Steph Danni nor Midge has spoken to Busted since the video shoot. The new single was going to come out soon, as was the video none of them could wait to see it. They couldn't tell anyone what happened so soon their secret would be out and everyone would know their secret.

It was the 10th of August and the single was coming out tomorrow. Midge was sitting in her room, she was bored so she turned on the music channel. Girls Aloud was just finishing. The screen went blank for a second. Midge looked down at her mag and there was a picture of Matt staring her back in the face. IN the background she heard music, she looked up at the screen and at the artist of the song. It read 'Busted'. "Oh I bet it is Year 3000 again" said Midge to herself.

She looked up at the screen again and it didn't say Year 3000. It said 'Sleeping With The Light On.'

She screamed grabbed he phone and rang all her mates that she went to the video shoot with. She told them to watch the hits because their video was on. Midge looked back at the screen and she saw James hugging her, he had a big smile on his face. Then the footage with busted on the wing of the plane came on, the camera turned and fixed right on the front row where they were standing. Everyone was jumping in the background. It was amazing Midge thought.
I have to record this Midge thought. The screen went blank again and there was some backstage footage. It showed the fans talking to Busted and them getting their platinum disks signed.
Midge went downstairs turned the computer on. She went into the kitchen to get some Hob Nobs and connected to the Internet. She went on the Street Team and went to post a message. She wrote 'Heya anyone seen the Busted vid yet???????? Danni, Emma, Maz, Steph, Nem u ere? Cum 2 shrine to busted I wanna chat. She clicked 'Send' and went to shrine 2 busted. Maz was first to arrive for once. 'Hey Maz' said midge. Before Maz could reply Steph appeared. 'Hey ppl' appeared in the chat box next to the name 'James_rox_and_matt_is_fit'
'Steph?' Maz typed.
'Yep' came the reply.
'Huh u dnt like James and he's mine anyway' replied Maz defending her right to James.
'You looked good with Matt in the video Steph' said Midge trying to involve herself in the conversation again.
'Yer I did but I gess I've grown towards James. He did luk v fit in CG!!' typed Steph.
Maz left the conversation and Danni arrived. 'Hi Danni' typed Steph and Midge at the same time.
Danni typed 'lol, hi hows u?'

Another person appeared in the conversation under the name of Busted. Everyone ignored it as they were talking to Danni.
Midge replied 'u seen the vid it rox. R u goin 2 the sinins I am I hav 2 tlk 2 busted again. I'm takin pressies 4 them n evryfing'
'I am going' said Steph.
'Danni?' asked Midge.
The person named Busted replied saying 'we are going'
'We?' asked Danni.

"Shit" said Matt to Charlie, "we gave it away now, my fault!"
'erm k u no now yes its busted we read midge's message on s.t!' Matt typed it in and Charlie pressed enter.

'So mayb we cud meet up at the sinins as well whadd'ya say?' asked Charlie
'sure' replied Danni.
'K then we off now we wanna get pisd cos the nu single comes out 2moro MAKE SURE U ALL BUY IT!!!!!!'
Charlie closed the window and disconnected and shut down. Matt passed him a drink and the door to their flat opened.
James walked in past the living room door with a tall brown haired girl following him.
"OI JAMES WHO THE HELL IS THAT?" shouted Matt.
A door slammed shut and Charlie turned the tele on. "What d'ya wanna watch?" Charlie asked.
"Erm Big Brother?" suggested Matt.
Charlie switched to channel 4 and Nush appeared on the screen. "She's fit" came a voice from James who had just walked past the door seeing her on the screen.
Matt walked out into the kitchen to fetch some biscuits. He walked back up the corridor. James was snogging this girl. Matt wolf-whistled and sat back down in front of the tele. James shortly walked back in and sat on the sofa next to Charlie.
James looked at Matt as if to tell him to stay quiet.
"So who was that girl asked Matt in spite of what James just indicated.
"Just someone I met down the pub" he said.

"Why go to the pub? We have drink!!!" questioned Charlie. "Just forget it!" ordered James. Everything went silent. "I'm going" said Charlie "Got to get in before my bro locks the door." laughed Charlie.

"So did you get up to anything with that girl?" Matt asked desperate for the gossip.

"I'm going to bed." Said James. "K then I'm going too." announced Matt.

The next morning Matt was woken up by a beep outside. He got up and looked out of the window. It was Charlie ushering him to come outside. Matt quickly got dressed and ran outside. James was now waiting in the car. Matt got in and Charlie drove off. James switched in the radio and Junior Senior came on.

Charlie turned left and parked the car around the back. They got out and went into the building and sat down. Suddenly the doors burst open and about 200 screaming people rushed straight towards them. After about 150 people had gone to each person 6 familiar faces appeared. They queued up and on each single Matt wrote meet us backstage in half an hour.
They walked off with their signatures and waited out the front. Half an hour passed ad they went back in to find the tables empty.
"Are we too late?" asked Emma nervously.
"No come on." ordered Nem.
Nem walked off round the corner and the others followed.
They soon came to a sign saying 'Busted dressing rooms.'
They followed it and soon arrived at three doors. One saying 'Matt', one saying 'James' and one saying 'Charlie'.
Steph walked over to James' and knocked, Maz was at the back as usual.
The door opened and James invited Steph in forgetting to shut the door.
Danni knocked at Matt's door, he answered and also invited her in. Midge pushed past her and went in, the door shut in her face.

Nem had already disappeared into Charlie's dressing room. Maz got down the corridor eventually and walked into James' dressing room, but ran straight out again with tears in her eyes. Steph followed and James shortly after.

Maz shouted down the corridor "What were you doing?" in Steph's direction. Steph walked up to Maz and tried to apologise. Before anyone realised what was happening a full on fight broke out. James was standing at his dressing room door.
Emma and Danni were also stood outside Matt's dressing room, waiting for Midge.

They heard another shout "You know I like James! How could you?" Maz screamed.
Danni ran over and tried to break it up, but made it worse. Meanwhile in Matt's dressing room Midge was chatting away. Matt moved closer to Midge and put his hand on her leg. Midge continued talking hoping he would stop. He didn't he pulled her closer. Midge got up went bright red and walked out.

Charlie was now in the hall with Nem talking to Danni and Emma. Matt walked out and looked at what was going on. He ran over and separated Steph and Maz. The rest of the afternoon they kept away from each other.

Soon they left and Busted arrived home.

They all sat in the front room in silence in Charlie's flat.
"So what happened earlier?" asked Matt.

"Erm� well� Maz walked in on me and Steph and we were� erm� kissing.
She� erm stormed out and they argued." answered James.

"WHAT?" asked Matt in disbelief.
"I think I love Steph, she's really nice, but I like Maz too" said James seriously.
" I tried it on with Midge too but she ran out on me." replied Matt disappointedly.

The next day Matt picked up the phone and rang Midge. No one answered. He went to get his mobile and he texted her. 'I dnt fink dat we shud meet up ne mor ther r 2 meny arguments caused love matt'. He sent it and went up to Charlie's flat.

James was still asleep and when no one answered Charlie's door he presumed he was asleep too. He went back downstairs to his flat picked his phone up and texted Midge again asking for Danni and Emma's numbers.

Midge texted back within 5 minutes. 'Fine have their numbers if u prefer them�'

Immediately Matt rang Emma and she answered with shock in her voice.
"Can you meet up with me tomorrow?" he asked.
"Erm� sure. Where? When?" she replied.
"Meet me at Finchley outside the pub." said Matt.
"K bye." Said Emma and she put the phone down.

Emma arrived at 12 noon at the pub in Finchley and Matt arrived about ten minutes later. He took Emma down the alley at the side of the pub so no one saw them. He put his arm round her and leant in towards Emma's face as did Emma to Matt. Their lips touched for one second. Emma paused remembering her boyfriend back in Kent. She apologised to Matt for wasting his time. She ran off and headed back home.

Matt sat down on the floor down the alley and he felt a bit upset. The day turned into night and Matt was still sat there.
He heard voices coming from round the corner. So he got up to have a look and saw a load of girls dressed in tin foil. He walked out of the alley and went over. They all walked into the pub and Matt realised that it was Girls Aloud. They all walked into the pub except for Nicola who saw him and stayed outside. Nicola was already drunk and she started threatening Matt. Who wasn't really in the mod for a fight.
He just calmly began to walk off back to the flats.

"Hey where are you off? Can't you handle me? Are you scared of a girl?" she threatened.
At this remark Matt turned and gave Nicola a black look. He walked over to where she was stood and he pushed her.
Nicola pushed Matt harder still. Matt was really angry now. He pinned Nicola up the wall. "Hey mind my dress." She exclaimed.
"That's not a dress." argued Matt. He gave her a hard slap round the face and walked off down the road. As he turned the corner he saw Nicola walk into the pub. Matt walked off into the block of flats and into his flat.

"Matt??" asked James who was watching TV.
Matt ignored James and walked up to his room, slammed the door shut and locked it behind him.
James got up off the chair and ran up to Matt's bedroom. He knocked loudly.
"FUCK OFF" shouted Matt.
He turned his music on loud so he couldn't hear James.
Matt got up turned his music down to hear whether James had gone or not. He had Matt quickly opened his door and ran across the hallway. He had tears running down his face and he went into the bathroom locking it behind him.
James got up again and ran out of the front room. Matt's bedroom door was left open, James walked in to see if he could find anything that would tell him why he was like that.

He searched everything in Matt's room, trashing the whole place. James was really worried at what Matt might be doing, or has done in the bathroom.

He didn't know what to do so he ran up to Charlie's flat. He came back with Charlie and he banged on the bathroom door. No one answered. He kicked the door open and Matt was slumped in the corner next to an empty bottle of paracetamol.
"OK James ring the ambulance we don't know how many he's taken." ordered Charlie. Charlie picked Matt up and carried him to the sofa and laid him down.

James put the phone down and walked over to Charlie. "Go and fetch the bottle from the bathroom." ordered Charlie.
James picked the bottle up and walked back to Matt. "This was full this morning." Said James.

There was a knock at the door and two paramedics ran through. They put Matt on a stretcher.

"Which one of you is coming with?" asked the female paramedic.

"I'll go." said Charlie.

"K then I'll call his family and meet ya there!" said James.

Charlie walked out of the door and James saw the blue lights disappear around the corner.

He picked up the phone and dialled Matt's mum's number.

"Hello?" she said

"Erm hi, James here, Matt's erm, he's erm" stuttered James.

"Matt's what?" asked his mum.

"He's erm gone to hospital." replied James

"NO! What's he done now?" she asked worriedly.

"Erm overdose on paracetamol! We don't know why yet, he's knocked out.

Matt and Charlie have gone to the hospital I am meeting them there." he said.

"OK then I will be there as soon as possible" She said as she put the phone down.

James ran out around the corner and down the street. He turned right and ran down the road, running into a parked car on the way. He entered through A & E. He went to the receptionist - "Erm where did a Matt Willis go?" he asked.

"Are you a relation?" she asked.

"JUST TELL ME PLEASE" ordered James he shouted and the whole waiting room went silent.

The receptionist pointed left down he corridor and James ran straight down. He looked in all the rooms as he passed. He reached the end room and saw Charlie.

"Hiya how is he?" James enquired.

He's stabilised now, but he hasn't come round yet." answered Charlie. At that a minute a doctor came in and propped Matt's bed up. He took Matt's wrist and put a needle in his vein. "Can you hold this a minute?" the doctor asked James. "Hold it steady" said the doctor. James took Matt's hand and held it as steady as he could. It was no good he was shaking too much. Charlie took over. The doctor put a drip in the needle and attached it to a stand.
"Keep an eye on him" the doctor ordered and walked away. Charlie sat down and everything went silent. "Why did this have to happen now, we are about to get our new chart position and everything!! WHY DID HE DO IT?" said James who was obviously very upset.

"I don't know, but I do know he will be fine, don't worry James. Loads of people take overdoses and they all recover." defended Charlie.
"Yer whatever Charlie. I'm really upset and worried about him. Why did he do it?" said James his eyes watering.

They heard a noise coming from the bed. James and Charlie stood up. Matt's eyes were open.

Charlie ran down the corridor. "DOCTOR? NURSE? HELP!" he shouted. The doctor who put the drip in came running down the corridor, Charlie following.

He put Matt's bed down again and spoke to him.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"Matt u thick cunt!" Matt said.

"Ok no need to swear" said the doctor. Charlie and James giggled.

"He's still the same old Matt" Charlie reassured James.

"Why did ya do it?" asked James.

"Erm can we hav some time alone please doctor?" asked Matt.

The doctor left and Charlie shut the door. "SO�?" repeated James.

Matt told his story and James and Charlie went silent. Charlie was first to speak "You slapped Nicola good on ya mateage!"

James elbowed Charlie and he shut up. James opened the door again and let the doctor back in. He took Matt's drip out and took a drugs test. "When we get the results you might be able to leave" said the doctor.

The doctor came back half an hour later and told Matt that he can leave. Matt got out of the bed and followed James and Charlie back into the waiting room. When they got there they saw Nicola.
"Look what you did to him you daft bitch!" said Charlie. Nicola stood up "If I can bother him then he's a wimp he hurt me more" replied Nicola who had a big bruise on her right eye. "Look leave it Charlie" said Matt.

"No, she's a bitch and she deserves what's coming to her!" said Charlie as walked towards Nicola.

"NO! said Matt. "I didn't tell you the whole story, LEAVE IT!!!!!!!! I'll tell you later!" <

James walked out and Matt an Charlie followed.

When they got home Charlie asked, "So what's the rest of the story you

didn't tell me?" "Well you know that Emma we met at that video shoot?" asked Matt.

"Yer what about her? What have you done?" asked Charlie jumping to conclusions.

"Look I met up with her and we kina started to kiss. She paused and ran away, I got upset so I sat down the alley near the pub! Then I heard Girls Aloud and that's when I saw Nicola and slapped her!!" said Matt. Happy? he asked after taking a breath he walked out and sat at a chair in the kitchen.
"Look what you have done now!" said James to Charlie. Charlie sat down and went quiet. None of Busted were talking to each other. James walked out and went to the pub, Charlie went home and Matt laid on the sofa thinking about what he had done. Matt thought to himself ' It's going to be all over the papers tomorrow. He felt like he wanted to die. He heard a knock at the door.
He got up dragging his feet on the floor behind him as he went like a sulking child. His mum was there and he just fell into her arms and began to cry. His mum and his sister Amanda came in and went into the living room. "Amanda can you go upstairs for a bit I need to speak to your brother in private?" said his mum.
Amanda went upstairs and looked through Matt's CD's. Amanda came back down 10 minutes later. Her mum got up and walked out slamming the door behind her. Amanda quickly said "Bye Matt" and she ran after her mum. Matt was still crying.

Meanwhile in the pub, James sat in the corner with half a pint of a lager, He kicked the table, knocked the pint on the floor, smashed the glass and ran off. He walked back into the flat and went to bed. Matt was asleep on the sofa.

The next morning at midday, Matt, James and Charlie were still fast asleep.

Fletch knocked at Charlie's door and he answered still dressed in his clothes from last night. "We have to go to TOTP." said Fletch. "Get ready!"

"Erm not a good idea, Busted might no longer exist!" said Charlie.

"Why?" asked a puzzled Fletch.

"Come in I'll explain" said Charlie.

"Last night Matt took an overdose!" said Charlie.

Fletch didn't reply because he was in shock.

"We all had a a big argument. None of us are talking to each other. TOTP must be cancelled" ordered Charlie.

"We can't cancel now" said Fletch.

"Well I dunno then but it will be hard. Hey it's up to you though you decide. It will probably cause more arguments and then we definitely split!" said Charlie trying to convince Fletch that it wasn't a good idea.

Fletch got up, walked down to James and Matt's flat. He could hear music so he knew they were awake. He knocked on the door to see of anyone would answer. Charlie followed Fletch down the stairs buts stood aside so he wouldn't be seen when the door opened.

James opened the door and Fletch walked in. Charlie followed which James didn't look too happy about. He shut the door which woke Matt up.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" shouted Matt to Charlie.

"GET OUT OF HERE YOU ARE A SHIT-STIRRER JUST LIKE NICOLA!!!"

"See I told you" said Charlie to Fletch. Charlie got up and walked out leaving the door open. "AND DON'T COME BACK" Matt shouted after him as he saw him go back to his flat.

"I think its best if we have a break from each other." Suggested James to Fletch.

"Yer I agree and don't let this get out to the press." Matt ordered Fletch.

"Well when you shout that loud it will be hard!!! Said Fletch as he walked out! James went to his room packed his photos and some of his clothes and walked out. Stopping to say one thing before shutting the door "See you when I see you Matt. I will miss ya you know!" and he shut the door with a tear in his eye.

Matt was left alone in the flat and he began to cry as well. Charlie was packing some of his things and he walked out of the flats planning to move back to Ipswich and get as far away from Busted as he could.
