�That was a good game,� nodded Frankie taking Tic�s hand into his own. Amanda nodded in agreement, �Yeah. It was. What now?� Chris smiled mischievously, �Roller Coasters?� Katherine nodded, �Yeah! Those are fun! Lets go!� Every one finally agreed on the Roller Coaster amusement park. They arrived at the amusement park minutes later in Greg�s mom�s van. They bought a parking ticket for their car and then walked into the amusement park. Katherine held back for a few minutes, trying to remember her father�s favorite ride. A tear formed in her eye and rolled down her cheek. Greg put his arm around her, �You okay?� Katherine nodded, �Yep. I�m fine.� Chris, who was in line with every one else, yelled, �C�mon! The ride�s about to load!� Greg and Katherine ran over, catching up with them. They all got onto the Twisted Terror Roller Coaster and waited for the ride to start. Once it started, there was no turning back. The roller coaster took off and ran through the ride in five minutes. The girls screamed most of the time, while Chris held his hands up whooping.


~After Roller Coaster Park~

�I had a really good time, Greg.� Katherine said, as Greg walked her up to her house. She had a look of fear in her eyes, allowing Greg to reply, �Yeah, I did to. Do you wanna do something tomorrow?� Katherine nodded instantly, �Sure. I�d love to!� Greg leaned in for a kiss, but he stopped. He looked around and asked, �Is your Uncle home?� Katherine shrugged, �I�m not sure. He might be. He might not be.� She looked back at Greg, �Do you want a tour of my house?� Greg looked at his watch, �It�s getting late.� Katherine took his hand, �Please�� Greg smiled, �Oh, alright.� The two teens walked into Katherine�s house and Katherine showed him around. Greg glanced nervously at the clock, �It�s getting really late. I should probably get going.� The fear in Katherine�s eyes grew as she nodded. Greg looked into her eyes, smiling, �I�ll see you tomorrow.� Katherine quickly blurted out, �Will you stay with me until I fall asleep?� Greg�s eyes grew a little big, �I guess it wouldn�t hurt.� She smiled and the two of them sat on her bed. She lay down and closed her eyes. Greg�s eyes suddenly became weary too. He lie down beside her and put one of his arms around her waist. Feeling the warmth of him, she snuggled closer to him and put her head on his shoulder. He tilted his head just enough so that it was lying on her head. The two of them fell asleep seconds later.


~The Next Morning~

Greg woke up to a vibrant feeling in his leg. He rubbed his left eye with his left hand and then reached for his cell phone. He saw it was Chris, so he answered, �Hello?� �Dude! Where the hell are you?� Chris asked worriedly. Greg replied, �I think I�m at Katherine�s house.� Chris was heard gasping, �You slept with her?� Greg shook his head slowly, �No I didn�t! We sat down on her bed and I was supposed to leave after she fell asleep. But I kinda fell asleep.� Chris laughed, �So you slept with her in technical terms. You the man! You better hope you got a good reason for your mom!� Greg smacked his head, �Shit! My mom! What the hell am I gonna say?� Katherine stirred, but didn�t wake up fully. She turned away from him, with a sweet, innocent look on her face. Greg smiled running his fingers through her hair as Chris answered, �I�ll cover for you. Meet me at your house in twenty minutes.� Greg nodded, �Okay. See ya then.� He hung up and wrote Katherine a quick note, �Hey Hun! I�ll see you later. We�re still on, I hope. Love ya lots! Greg.� He put it beside her bed and kissed her cheek, then walked out of the room carefully so as not to wake any one. He walked down the stairs slowly and then walked out of the house, hating to leave the scared eyed Katherine.

Katherine woke up seconds after Greg left. His cologne still lingered in the air. She smiled as she picked up the note and read it. She smiled happily, sitting up on her bed. How long had he stayed? Before she could answer her question, her uncle stood in the doorway. �Who the hell was that leaving your room at this hour of the morning?� He asked in a drunken tone. Katherine started climbing out of her bed, trying to get ready for anything that could happen. Her Uncle plunged towards her, falling down on her bed right as she stood up. She looked around the room for a self-defense mechanism, but didn�t find any at the moment. Her Uncle stood up and backed her down into a corner. Katherine�s eyes were wide with fear when she finally spotted a bat. She reached for it, but her Uncle smacked her, knocking her down to her knees. She crawled half breathless and tried to get up again. Her Uncle followed and kicked her in her ribs, making her fall down onto her stomach. Tears formed in her eyes as her Uncle spoke, �Don�t you be crying! You got no reason to be crying! Shut the hell up!� Katherine prayed that one of her friends would appear in the doorway to her room, but she knew it was practically impossible. As she got to her feet, her Uncle smacked her face, leaving a cut across her cheek right below her right eye. She fell back helplessly, screaming. Katherine got to her knees, quickly crawling towards the bat. She knew that it was her only life source. She picked it up and tried to get to her feet, but her Uncle shoved her down, knocking the wind out of her. She gasped for breath helplessly as she blindly reached for the bat once again. Picking it up with progress, she despairingly stood to her feet and swung at her Uncle, hoping she�d at least hit is arm. She missed, taking another swing. Her Uncle fainted to her bed. She dropped the bat and ran out of the room. Where was she to go? She grabbed her cell phone off the table, her purse and a jacket then ran out of the house, trying to make the bleeding on her cheek stop.


~At Greg�s House~

�I�m home mom! Sorry I didn�t call you.� Greg yelled into his house, hoping for a reply. Chris was right behind him as Mr. Raposo yelled, �Gregory Frank David Raposo! Where on earth have you been? Your mother and I have been worried sick!� Greg sighed, �Dad, I�m sorry I didn�t call you. I spent the night at Chris�s house.� Chris nodded as Mr. Raposo entered the room, �Yep. He was at my house all night.� Mr. Raposo nodded, �Okay, I�ll believe you this time. Just don�t let your mother know I let you off.� Greg nodded, �Okay. Thanks. We�ll be upstairs.� Chris and Greg ran upstairs to his room. Once they were there, Chris asked, �So what�s her family like? I need details here.� Greg sighed walking into his closet to change, �I didn�t meet her family and nothing happened. Those are the details.� Chris sighed throwing his hands up into the air, �You really don�t kiss and tell. Do you?� Greg walked out of his closet smiling, �Nope! And to tell you the truth, we never actually kissed or anything. We just slept next to each other.�


~With Katherine~

Katherine had no where to go, Amanda, Kelly, Tic nor Mandi were up at this time, and she didn�t want to disturb Greg about this and make him worry. She walked into Walgreen�s and bought a box of bandages and medicine. After buying the items, she walked to the nearest park and sat down fixing up her cheek. She used her compact mirror to adjust her hair so the bandage wouldn�t be all that visible. After everything looked good, she watched the rest of the sunrise. Off in the distance, she heard a few dogs barking, and a few joggers� feet stomping on the ground. The wind blew through the trees, and finally, she heard someone yell her name. She glanced around, hoping it wasn�t her Uncle. She sighed when she saw that it was Jesse with 4 dogs that looked as though they had been abandoned. Katherine stood up, �Hey.� One of the stronger dogs got loose and ran for her. Her eyes grew big and shocked as the dog could be heard from miles away running towards someone. The dog jumped up onto her grabbing her shoulders with his front paws. Katherine let out a small scream before she was covered in dog slobber. Jesse ran over, �Bad Dash! Bad boy!� He grabbed the dog off of Katherine and took his leash again, �Sorry.� He continued. Katherine nodded, �Its okay.� She wiped the slobber off her face, trying to hide the fear and sadness in her emotion. Jesse sat down, �Are you okay?� Katherine sat down next to him and pet one of the smaller dogs, �I�I�m fine, its just dog slobber.� Jesse brushed a strand of hair back behind her ear, �I wasn�t talking about that. I was talking about that bandage.� Katherine pulled away, letting her hair fall back over the bandage. �I�I ran into the wall this morning,� she lied deceitfully. He shook his head no, �Katherine. Something else happened. You�re lying about it.� Katherine sighed, �I can�t tell you. My Uncle is the only family I have left.� Jesse asked in shock, �Is he abusing you?� She took off her jacket, revealing bruises and cuts. Jesse covered his open mouth, unable to speak. Tears now formed in Katherine�s eyes, �You can�t tell Greg. You can�t tell any one!� Jesse pulled Katherine into a hug, �It�ll be okay. I won�t tell any one, unless it gets too serious.� He lied about not telling any one, but Katherine didn�t seem to notice.


~At Greg�s House~

�That�s it? No kiss? No making out? You just slept?� Chris asked in shock. Greg nodded, putting on his leather jacket and replied, �We�re supposed to go on a date tonight.� Chris smiled nodding, �When all the action beings.� Greg shrugged, �We�ll see.� He walked out of his room, with Chris close behind, and down to the bathroom to do his hair. Chris leaned against the doorway, while Greg examined himself in the mirror. He did his hair, then said, �At least I�m not grounded.� Chris laughed, �That�d be devastating.� Greg rolled his eyes, �So what about you and Mandi?� Chris shrugged, shoving Greg over so he could examine himself, �She said we should do something tonight, but I�m not sure if she�s really my type.�
