As I waited for the sun to come up and my house to wake up, my cell phone started ringing. �Who would be calling me this early in the morning?� I asked myself quietly as I climbed off my bed and walked over to my desk. I looked at the caller ID and saw Kelsey�s phone number. My breathing took up a faster pace as I answered, �Hello?� It was Kelsey and she was okay. I explained my dream to her and when I told her the end, she was frozen. Although I couldn�t see her, I could still picture her facial expressions. Her mouth would be open with shock and her eyes wider than an owl�s. Her hand would be slowly rising to her mouth to cover it with her fingers. I heard her breathing become slower and surely, I heard her answer, �I�I died?� It was a question, and not a statement, which she would normally make. I nodded and said, �Yeah. I don�t know what it means, but I hope it doesn�t really happen. I had this dream a long while ago too. I think when I was four.� I could tell tears were swelling up in her eyes and that she would soon be crying. I felt so bad, because I wouldn�t be there to comfort her. As if it were going to be a cloudy day, I asked, �Do you want me to come over?� There was no reply. I became nervous again, hoping she was okay and that no one had attacked her. I fearfully asked, �Kelsey?� Still silence. I repeated, �Kelsey, are you okay?� There was a choke then a small cry as she replied, �Could you?� I nodded once and said, �We can hang out in your back yard with the gate between our houses open.�
