When the tape finished, I turned around and saw tears forming in my mother�s
eyes and my sister started clapping her hands. She smiled and said, �Encore!� I
laughed and asked, �Was it really that good?� My mother nodded and said, �It was
probably one of the best home made videos ever.� My sister stood up and asked,
�When are you giving him the tape?� Her voice wasn�t in Shakespeare accent any
more. I smiled and answered, �Probably tomorrow at his party. I also want to
give him something else, so I can give him something today also. The thing is,
I�m completely stumped about what to get him!� My mother smiled as my sister
walked out of the room saying, �Just get him a video game for his Nintendo 64.�
I shrugged and my mom said, �Oh, don�t bother, he�s probably going to get a new
video game set for his birthday any ways. Why don�t you make him peanut butter
cookies? He�s always loved those.� I nodded and thought, �We both have always
loved those kind of cookies.� I walked down!
stairs and started pulling out ingredients for the cookies. I threw all of them
into a big mixing bowl as instructed and stirred them up. Taking out cookie
trays to put the cookies on, I heard the back gate between Jesse�s house and
mine open. I set the cookie trays down on the floor and stood up behind the
counter. I saw Jesse and Greg at my patio door. My heart stopped, I had the
biggest crush ever on Greg. It wasn�t just because he was cute, or tall, or
muscular. It was because he was sweet, kind and I could carry on a conversation
with him on just about any subject four hours.
