Ten tapes later, I was only one year away from being done. I needed a
one-year-old video. I flipped through the last five tapes, finding a tape
labeled �Kelsey�s and Jesse�s First Kiss�. I put the tape in the camera and
waited for it to pop up onto the screen. Seconds later, two one year olds were
sitting in front of one another, fidgeting with their hands. The boy said,
�Kelsey my girl.� The girl giggled and said in a baby voice, �I daddies girl!�
The boy�s lower lip suddenly stuck out and a tear trickled down his face. His
chin was trembling as if he was about to cry. The girl giggled and kissed the
boy�s nose quickly. Standing up, she said, �All better?� The boy blushed and
said babyishly, �You my girl!� I laughed, letting a tear roll down my face. The
last tape that I needed was perfect. I placed it behind the baby year and said,
�I�m ready to make Jesse�s Sweet Sixteen tape!� I decided that I�d have a split
speech, an opening and an ending. So, I set to work making the !
tape, put in the tape of me talking and then recorded it. Then placed each year
in after the year before it and finished the tape with me saying, �Even though
there have been little fights, violent competitions and so much more, you are
one of my very best friends and almost like a twin brother to me. I just want to
say happy sixteenth birthday and I love you with a great deal of my heart.� I
smiled and stopped the tape and rewound it. While I waited for it to finish
rewinding, I got my mom and my sister and brought them to my room. I sat them
down and said, �I want your full opinion. What do you think?� I pushed play and
watched the tape fully, with my mother and my sister at my side.
