"Hello..." Mark said, looking at Ria, amazed.
"Hi.." She barely said.
"Right..." Shiri said, looking at the weirdly. "Mark this is Ria, Ria this is..."
"...Mark." She cut Shiri off. "Nice to meet you." She shook his hand. "Well...I better get going...to..." She finally looked at Diana. "Try to get you..." she pointed at her. "Another appointment with Louis Walsh. You better start praying." She told her.
"Louis?" Mark looked at Ria. "No problem! I can get you an appointment with him." He said then looked at Diana in a weird way. "Why do you need an appointment with Louis?"
"I'm a dancer." She told him.
Shane giggled.
"Don't laugh at me!"
"Yeah!" Shiri helped. "Don't laugh at her, she's really good!"
"Okay then..." Ria took a pen and a paper and started writing something, then handed it to Mark. "That's my number. Give me a call and inform me about the details."
Mark nodded.
"And thanks again." She said, giving him a kiss on the cheek, then left.
"Bye..." Mark said, blushing.
"Whoa, Mark! You look like a big tomato!" Shane laughed at him.
Mark looked away, then put Ria's number in his pocket. "I'll go call Louis..." He said and walked out of the room.
"That was..." Shiri started.
"...Weird." Diana completed Shiri's sentence.
"Totally."
"Hello, Louis?" Mark said.
"Yes?"
"It's me, Mark."
"Oh hi Mark." Louis said. "I thought I gave you a day off..."
"Yeah...but I got a favor to ask you."
"What is it?"
"Well...remember Diana? Shiri's sister..." Mark asked.
"Yeah."
"She had an appointment with you today but couldn't go because of the accident...can you meet her...let's say...2 days from now?"
"Let me see..." Louis looked in his diary. "Tell her to be at my office at 5:30pm on Monday."
"Thanks!" Mark said and hung up quickly so he could call Ria. He took the number out of his pocket and started dialing.
"Yeah?" She answered.
"Ria? Hi, Mark here." He said.
"Mark, Hi!" she got excited.
"I have good news..." He started. "I just talked to Louis. He said he can meet her on Monday at 5:30pm."
"That's great, thank you so much!"
"No problem...hey Ria?"
"Yes?"
"Do you wanna...hmmm...go catch a movie sometime?" He ask nervously.
"Sounds great. How about tomorrow at 8pm?"
"Perfect." He said and hung up. "'perfect'?" he thought to himself. "That was a stupid thing to say!"
Then he suddenly remembered he didn't say where to meet her, and called again.
"I'll meet you at the hospital." She said when she answered, as if reading his mind.
"Okay." Mark smiled. "See you then."
"So..." Shane started, looking at Diana. "A dancer eh?"
"Yep..." She smiled.
"Can you show me a dance?"
"No.." she shyly said.
"Come on Di, show him how good you are! Leave him with his mouth open! Let him eat your dust!..." Shiri laughed.
Kian laughed too.
"Okay we got your point!" Shane said.
"I can't dance without music..." She found an excuse. "If there was music I'd love to dance but since there isn't..."
"Oh, I have your tape right here in my bag." Shiri grinned.
"Shir..." Diana gave her a look.
Shiri took the cassette out of her bag.
Kian got the tape-recorder that was on the desk, and pressed on play.
Diana gave in. She got up from her seat and started dancing. Shane looked at her, amazed.
When she finished, Shiri, Shane and Kian clapped.
"That was great!!!" Shane was still amazed.
Diana looked down. "It was okay..."
"What time is it now?" Shiri suddenly asked. "I lost track of time."
"It's 3:25am." Kian said, then clicked. "Don't you wanna call your parents to let them know you're okay?"
Now Shiri had tears in her eyes. She looked down so Kian wouldn't notice.
"What's wrong?" Kian looked at her, puzzled.
Diana came closer to Shiri and hugged her.
"What is it Shir?" Kian got confused.
"Can I...be alone for a while?..." She asked, still crying.
"No, I'm not leaving you like this!" Kian said stubbornly.
"Just go..." She said.
"But..."
"GO!"
Kian got up and walked out, Shane and Diana after him.
"Way to go, Ki!" Shane told him.
"What did I do wrong??"
"Our parents died in a car accident 2 months ago..." Diana suddenly said. "Shir refused to talk about it with anyone. That's why it hurts her so much." She explained.
"Damn it." Kian said. "I'm such a fool!"
"It's not your fault." Diana said. "There's no way you could have known."
"What's going on?" Mark said as he got back from the hospital's caf?.
"Nothing." Diana said. "I'll go check on her..." she said and entered Shiri's room.
Shane shook his head and sat down.
"You knew about this??" Kian looked at Shane.
"Yeah well, when me and Diana watched over Dylan we had lots of time to...talk..." Shane said.
"And something else too..." Mark giggled.
"What are you talking about?" Shane gave him an innocent look.
"Kerry told us...about the kiss..."
Shane looked down.
"Shiri, look at me." Diana sat next to Shiri.
Shiri looked up at Diana, tears in her eyes.
"Shir...it's been 2 months...don't you think we should talk about it?"
"There's nothing to say..."
"Don't do that...we're gonna have to talk about it sooner or later." She looked at her. "It's just the two of us...we gotta take care of each other."
Shiri wiped her tears away.
"You really hurt Kian, you know...he really cares about you and didn't mean to hurt you." Now Shiri looked at her, knowingly.
"I know I did...but I didn't want him to see me crying." she told Diana.
"You've got to get over it...Shir...I'm hurting too...." She told her.
They hugged each other for a while.
"So....what's going on with Shane and you?!" Shiri got excited as she tried to forget about her parents. Shiri was looking at Diana, expecting to hear something BIG.
"Me and Shane?" she gave her an innocent look.
"Don't look at me like that......I know something's going on!" Shiri told her, giggling.
Kian and Mark had picked up Shane's soft spot. He was looking down, then started walking towards Shiri's room.
"I'm gonna see if they need something..." he gave as an excuse.
"Nothing's going on...." Diana said, trying to stay calm and not show that something WAS up.
"Di, are you pushing him away from you...like it happened with Brandon?" Shiri asked her, getting a bit concerned.
"No, I'm not pushing him away..." Diana looked at her with sad eyes. "But you are..." Shiri started. "Look...you don't have to be strong all the time...you're allowed to cry. Shane's okay...nothing's gonna happen to him...he won't leave you." she went on.
Diana had met Brandon a bit after their parents died. He was really nice to her and they had got on well, but as she was afraid to lose him, like she lost her parents, she just 'walked away from him'. She left him.
"It's not that...well, maybe...it is...but still..." Diana tried to explain.
"Let him near you, he's nice and a really great guy Di...."
Shane entered the room. He had caught a bit of their conversation. He had heard a name, Brandon and some guy being nice and great...and that Diana would let him near her. He made his own conclusions.
"What guy?" he stepped into the room.
