Nicky sighed, then sat down. Mark sat next to him.
"It doesn't look good Mark...all the doctors were running around her and the monitor moved really quickly..." he paused. "I couldn't tell him..."
"We can't let him know...but we gotta tell Diana and Shane." Mark said.
"I'll call him..." Nicky took his mobile out and dialed. "Shane?"
"Yeah?"
"I have news...is Diana near you?" Nicky asked.
"No, she's in the other room. Want me to call her?"
"No! No, it's alright..." Nicky stopped him before he called Diana.
"Okay...so what's up?"
"Kian's feeling better...he's resting now..." Nicky told him.
"That's good."
"And Shiri...well...I peeked into her room and it didn't look good...I think something's gonna happen..."
"Oh my God...how are you gonna tell Diana?" He whispered so she won't hear him.
"That's where you're coming in..."
"You want ME to tell her?!"
"Thanks Shane!!!" Nicky said and hung up.
"Wait Nic...argh... I hate it when he does that!" He said and put his mobile on the table. "Diana?" he called her.
Diana came out, holding Dylan. "What is it?" she said, putting Dylan to bed.
"Di...Nicky called and...said that...hmmm...Kian feels better."
"Oh." Diana said. "I'm glad." She started walking.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" he thought to himself. "You gotta tell her..." he kept saying to himself. "Diana..."
"Yes?" She looked at him.
"Shiri..." he paused. "Shiri's doing better."
"Great." Diana smiled, and walked back to Dylan's room. Shane followed her there.
"You've been taking care of him for hours now...why don't you go get some rest and I'll watch over him." He told her.
"You're so sweet..." She smiled at him, then realized what she just told him and said "...but I can do it. If you really wanna help you can change his diaper..."
"Hmmm..." Shane started.
"I didn't think so!"
A couple of hours later the nurse finally let Kian get out of bed.
He went straight to Shiri's room. Things seemed a bit more relaxed now.
2 minutes later the doctor came out. "The surgery has ended successfully. You can come in and see her now."
"Can I..." Kian looked at Nicky and Mark. "...go alone? Just for a couple of minutes..."
"Yeah, of course." Mark said.
Kian walked in. He saw Shiri laying there.
"Kian?" She whispered.
"Shiri..." He started crying. "I'm so sorry for doing this to you..." He sat next to her bed.
"It's not your fault..." She said, smiling weakly, and started crying.
He wiped her tears but new ones came. "Don't cry...you're gonna be okay, I promise." He moved closer to her and kissed her lips. "I won't let you leave me." He smiled at her. "I love you."
Those 3 words made Shiri cry even more. "I love you too, Kian. I love you so much..."
"Hello there..." Mark said as he walked in, followed by Nicky.
Shiri wiped her tears. "Hi Mark, hi Nicky." She smiled at them. "Where's Di?..."
"She went with Shane to watch over Dylan cause Kerry and Georgina went out." Mark explained.
"I bet she's having fun..." she giggled.
"Well, he's finally sleeping..." Diana told Shane. "I'm so tired..." she sat next to him.
"Want a cup of coffee?" he asked her.
"No...yuck! I hate coffee! I only drink it when I'm really tired..." she paused. "Yeah...I'd love to..." she smiled shyly.
"Okay." He laughed at her. "I'll go get it." He got up and walked to the kitchen.
"I'll help ya." She got up too and followed him. "Alright...you get the coffee and I'll get the hot water." She told him.
"Alright." He said.
They both started looking what's where, when they bump into each other.
"Sorry." They both said at the same time, then laughed.
Shane looked deep into her eyes.
"Shane..."
"Sssshhh..." he stopped her and got closed to her.
"I...Shane..." She tried to resist but it was too late. Shane pressed his lips to hers.
They shared a long, passionate kiss till Diana finally pulled back, then smiled at him and kissed him again.
Just then the door opened and Kerry and Georgina came in.
Diana and Shane didn't notice they came in.
Kerry and Georgina walked in to the kitchen and found Shane and Diana kissing...
