Later on that day the guys took the girls out for a treat to go shopping; the guys had a special surprise planned. The girls didn't know that the would be attending an awards party with them later that evening until James said 'I think we should go and buy some decent clothes for tonight, don't you guys?' 'Yeah' said Matt with a cheeky grin. Maz looked at Jess and Falon and said 'Why?' 'Because we're taking you to the Smash Hits Awards Party tonight,' said James, 'No way?' Jess said and looked at Charlie as if asking him if it was true, 'Of course we are, if you want to come that is?' he stated, 'Well we're not going to turn down an offer like that' Jess replied. 'Yeah especially if I get to be on my favourite guy's arm' Falon said looking at Mattie. So they went looking around the shopping centre for some great out-fits. The guys tried on some suits but decided to stick with their own look instead of dressing up all posh, which was great cos the girls thought they looked sexy in their own clothes. Eventually they all bought an out-fit that was their own style and didn't care about what others thought as long as they pleased each other.
When they arrived at the awards ceremony in their white, stretch limo from the moment they got out of it cameras were in their faces, the media shouting at them and asking them to say something. The guys said these are our girl friends, Matt introduced Falon, James did the same for Maz and Charlie the same for Jess. It was a great evening though cos the guys won 3 awards for Best Newcomer, Best Pop Act and Best Single which beat Blazin Squad so everyone was happy.
On their way home in the limo the guys asked them if they wanted to get serious, if they still wanted to be their girl friends after experience the Media, and their answers were 'Yes' they didn't care as long as they were with them.
