· Update and maintain the Office of Alumni and University Relations
website with Dreamweaver and other web designing tools. Design new
pages to make the alumni database more searchable.
1999-Present Research Assistant, Dept. of
IFS, University of Delaware
· Studied teenagers’ involvement in Internet communities, online
social groups formation, self-presentation, social categorizing and social
hierarchy.
· Maintained and evaluated a database of 500 pieces of educational
software. Worked with faculty to revise the evaluation scale and recommended
high quality software to students and parents.
· Coordinated the department computer and video technology lab.
Provided instructions for undergraduate students and related projects.
Designed Internet curriculum for young children.
1998-1999 Project Manager / Content Editor, Clever
Software Co. Ltd., China
· Headed an 8-member R&D group on integrating computer technology
into children’s education. Planned and constructed the structures and contents
for over 20 pieces of educational software.
· Contributed creative ideas in initializing the nation-wide
promotion plan for a book titled "The Learning Revolution", which created
a world record of selling 7.5 million copies in 1999.
Constructed surveys about learning technologies to parents/teachers/children
and presented results at major seminars. Edited a book that reflected on
this project based on customers’ feedback.
1993-1998 Research Assistant, Dept. of Education, Beijing
Normal University, China
· Participated in several key intervention studies on children’s
learning and social development. Administered standardized intelligence
test and observed classroom activities. Conducted home interview, and performed
data analysis with SPSS. Published four journal papers based on the result.
· Taught at preschool level in Beijing Mian Hua Hu Tong Preschool,
spring ‘94; taught developmental psychology at Beijing You’er Teacher’s
School, Fall ’94.
