Alma Mae Hanner
Alma Mae (Webber) Hanner, age 78 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died December 9,1997 in Doctors Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff. She was born Oct.1,1919 in Thayer, Mo. daughter of Albert & Angeline Webber. She was united in marriage to David Hanner on August 15,1942 in Corning. He survives.
  Mrs. Hanner and her husband were farmers in the New Hope Community until 1959 when they moved to Poplar Bluff and opened a country store, Hanner's Grocery, which they operated until retiring. Mrs. Hanner was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Alpha Austin, two brothers, John Webber and Earl Webber; a grandson Bruce Davis, and a great-grandson Dustin Davis.
  Survivors, other than her husband, include two sons, Wayne Myers of St. Charles, Mo., Roy Hanner of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Sharon Davis, Barbara Stenger and Margaret Lotshaw all of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Oval Gleghorn of Poplar Bluf; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were in Cotrell Funeral Home with Troy Jackson officiating. Burial in Memorial Garden, Poplar Bluff.
Lula Arnold July 21,1985
Knobel, Ark.- Lula (Tinker) Arnold,78, of Knobel was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday at Corning Community Hospital. She was a homemaker.
  She was born Oct.14,1906, in Oregon County, Mo. and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was married to William O. Arnold on March 21,1923, and he died.
  Survivors include three sons, William Don Arnold of Poplar Bluff, Garry Joe Arnold of Bowling Green, Ky., Jerry Jack Arnold of Elvins, four daughter, Wanda Barnett and Lucille Archer both of Knobel, Pauline Hanner of Poplar Bluff and Kay Jarrett of Paragould; two brothers, Hosie Tinker and Vernon Kester, both of Kansas City, one sister Betty Shelvok of Thayer; and 35 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
  Services will be at 10 a.m Wednesday in the Knobel Church of Christ, with burial in Bond Cemetary. Visitation begins at 6 p.m today at the funeral home.
  Franklin Hanner
Harviell- Franklin Hanner, 74, of Route 1 Harviell died Friday, Dec. 6,1996, at Lucy Lee Healthcare System.
  Mr. Hanner was born Oct.23,1922 at Knobel, Ark. He was a retired carpenter and had operated Hanner's Grocery Store on Highway M for many years. He was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ and the American Legion Post 153. He served in the Army during World War II.
  Mr. Hanner married Ruth Gibbs Aug. 29,1942 in Corning, Ark. She survives.
  Also surviving are a son, Melvin Robert Hanner of Harviell; three daughters, Brenda Briney of Harviell, Marlene Maple of Stringtown, and Deborah Howrey of St. Joseph, Ill.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Hanner of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, David Hanner and Raymond Hanner both of Poplar Bluff, and Gale Hanner of Caulfield, Mo., and a sister, Edna Malone of Poplar Bluff.
  The funeral will be at 2 p.m today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Troy Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Kerns Chapel Cemetary.
     J.C Moody
J.C Moody, age 75, died Thursday, November 27,1997 in Campbell, Mo. He was born in Knobel, November 20,1922, son of the late Joe Claude and Maybelle Moody. He was united in marriage to Alberta "Jackson" on January 2,1946 in Piggott. Mrs. Moody preceded him in death on Oct.10,1961.
  He was a retired monument engraver and a United States Army wteran of World War Two. He was a lifelong resident of Piggott area and of the Pentecostal faith.
  He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Moody, in 1958; one sister, Dean Nixon; and a brother and sister who died during their infancy.
  Survivors include four children: Gary Moody of Piggott, Bill Moody of Piggott, Patricia Pitts of Kennett, Mo., Elizabeth Bratner of Kennett, one brother Charles Foster of Hazen; four sisters, Diane Glenn of Lonoke, Opal Thrasher of Granite City, Ill., Bea Jackson of Dexter, Mo., and Dessie Barker of Rockford, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 30, 1997 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with Joe Ward officiating. Burial in Bond cemetary with Piggott Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
  Pallbearers were Jonathan Moody, Justin Moody, Jason Berry, Clark Owen, Todd Barker and John Clarke.
