~M. Knives
It is nearly 7 years after Vash returned with his wounded twin, to the plant 50 iles from the city of November. Where Knives was left to heal after battle between Vash and himself. During this time of healing Vash has visited his twin several times to �prattle� on about the beauty of humanity, trying hard to get his twin to understand that maybe not all humans were bad. This last visit that Vash made there is something that is going on within the plant that is not noticeable at this point to either of the twins. Knives is starting to feel the effects of the dark presence that has begun to affect the plant but brushes it off as nonsense and hallucinations due to Vash not recognizing any changes, such as the reddish haze that he sees from time to time filling the dome in which he is incased.
When Vash leaves the plant he had not been thinking ahead in the line of food upon his trip and ends up passing out in the middle of the desert on the way back to the city as he walked all the way to the plant instead of driving. There he is found by the insurance girls who take him back to the city via Millie�s impressive strength being able to pick the unconscious gunman up and place him on a Thomas. Vash and Knives both go through a series of nightmares, Vash�s from his lack of food and dehydration, Knives from the entity that is possessing the Plant.
Meanwhile back in the city Legato and MidValley the Horn Freak have been trying to find Knives. Millie and Merle take care of Vash and through Merle purchasing food from the local saloon MidValley recognizes the insurance girl and goes to speak with Legato. Legato gives MidValley orders to find out if Vash is with the insurance girls and MidValley goes to the hotel after purchasing a disguise and we are left off at this point with MidValley knocking on the insurance girls door.
