| On January 10, 2003, a certain group of girls was placed in a situation full of stereotypical gender roles. The guys had gone into the other room to talk about cars. Someone shouted out, "We girls should talk about sewing." Someone else threw in the idea that we should create a sewing circle. Another girl shouted out, "Let's call it 'Knits 'n Giggles.'" The exclusive, girls-only, friends-only, "club" sky rocketed from there. Talks of making shirts, and even a Kappa Nu Gamma sorority (KNG --> Knits N Giggles), became commonplace. Even talks of inducting a new member; a candlelight ceremony full of symbolism. Unfortunately, everyong has been so busy, and with members living as far as North Carolina, plans have been put off until a later date when we can all be together again. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
