A farmer was working in his field one day, harvesting grain, when his plow hit a hard surface. Curious, he examened the bump. Much to his surprise, he discovered buried not too deep in the soil a stone vault!
Getting some of his neighbours to help lift it up, they made a wonderful discovery. Hidden in cloth was platenum-plated shield! It bore a gold image of a lion-headed scale, with real ruby eyes! Even more interesting was, that on the back, a poem was engraved:
A much more valuable shield
in a Vault without a door
Surrounded by a Room without a floor
defended by a fearsome Horror
Within a cave that is hidden in the Forbidden Forest
where the Cowardly dare not explore...
