| May And Motherhood Today in my front yard, I saw my first lily of Spring. This has been a late spring due to the Northern climate in which I live. None the less; It was the first bloom of the season at my home.... I write this on the day before Mothers Day 2001, and the little lily froze me, and focused me for today. I have been thoughtful today, of the Movement, and its members who are the Mothers of "our" future generations. The lily in my front yard, although in an otherwise cold, (and inhospitable at the least) environment still seems to thrive, show its beauty, strength and almost singular character. She has beaten all, even the earliest of tulip bulbs in this generation. My thoughts, and even my heart therefore has been drawn to "OUR" Mothers this fine day.... In my humble view they stand just as beautiful, strong, and singular of character as the first bulbs to bloom over the proudest graves of unvisited heroes in the north of France. For those who stand with our movement, through the turmoil, and relationships that suffer during the struggle; To the "Mothers that bear the FUTURE..." I raise a cheer for you, and send all my love as a Brother, friend, and Comrade.....14 To You!!!!!! Sweet and Dear protectors of our goal, and mission...... Thank You. FOR OUR RACE!! --------Lexander |
