A Knight in No Man's Land - Ashley
Category: Angst     Rating: mild PG
Continuity: (NML StoryArc) Comic
Summary: The story of a stubborn teenage girl living in No Man's Land, having lost her faith in everything, including herself. Through several different encounters with those she doesn't believe in, she is forced to face her inner demons, and must realize the steps needed to regain what she's lost.
Archivists' Comments: Thanks to Arti who beta-read this! I actually wrote this for school years ago after reading the Batman: No Man's Land (the novel) by Greg Rucka. If you aren't familiar with the story arc, you should make yourself acquainted with it because it's awesome! (the picture above is from one of the graphic novels!)

Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship - Lyssa
Category: Humor/Angst   Rating: PG
Continuity:
Comic
Summary:
A fun little backstory to the relationship between Spoiler, Robin and Nightwing. In it, Spoiler wrestles (almost literally) answers from the "big brother" for information about "the boyfriend".
Archivists' Comments:
We've got a nickname for this one - Wrestling the Angel ::snicker:: One of the first fanfics we *ever* read, this is a classic!! *This* is why we love Steph so much! Read it!!!!

Just Like You - J'Freak
Category: Vignette/Angst   Rating: PG
Continuity:
Comic
Summary:
As told by Batgirl, this story relates how she feels cut off from the rest of humanity, but it's debatable whether that's good or bad.
Archivists' Comments:
Batgirl is one of THE HARDEST characters to write, let alone accurately. J'F has her nailed in this beautiful piece, and we felt it only fitting that this insight into her character belinged to the series as a backstory of sorts.

The End - Ashley
Category: Horror (kind of)      Rating: PG (scariness)
Continuity: None - written for school, though it stars characters based off of those from the comics.
Summary: Four teenagers are alone in a dark, empty mansion. After a "scary story", nightmare becomes reality, as one by one they start disappearing...
Archivists' Comments: Ashley scared herself when she wrote this. Maybe that was because she wrote it in the dark...*rolls eyes*
