Their strength,

Their power,

Their victories,

Their compassion…

Leaves a mark –

One that doesn’t disappear with age.

 

Their struggles,

Their failures,

Their tears,

Their suffering,

Their pain…

Touches us –

In a way that nothing else can.

 

But it is their endurance,

Their perseverance,

Their devotion,

Their love,

Their fight,

Their lives…

That bring out the hero in us.

 

We strive to be like them –

To be the best we can be,

To fight against all odds,

To have the courage to get up and try again,

To make a difference.
