| GENERAL QUESTIONS: Q: You said this series is an Elseworlds. Say what? A: Elseworlds is the comic book term given to story arcs that dont take place in current continuity, and most often theyre really out there, usually taking place in the future, sometimes what-if stories (Ex Kingdom Come, Thrillkiller). Our series isnt an extreme Elseworlds, but its the best way to describe it nothing that happens in our series has happened in the comics we took the aftermath of an event, and from there created the series. Itll never really happen in the comics. Q: When does this series take place? A: Almost directly after the events in Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood, which occurred a few months after the events of No Mans Land. A lot of the things that happened in that mini-series are recounted, but it may be a good idea to check the graphic novel out for yourself. Similar things happen in our series that have happened in the comics lately, but it is not congruent to the current continuity. Considering were completely broke, we can only read comics when we can, so naturally were not always up to date, and dont consistently read one title or book, just those here and there that we like. SO read Cry for Blood, and put anything thats happened after it out of your mind. Also, it may help if you are familiar with the "No Man's Land" story arc. Q: Is there a place where I could see a timeline? Maybe get a good idea of where your series takes place? A: Here ya go: Timeline Q: So gimme a recap what hasnt happened? A: Well, you asked for it WARNING MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILERS!!! Huntresss new mid-drift-showing-hot-pants outfit does not exist. In our series, shes still in her purple-and-black-covers-all-of-her costume. Shes not part of the JLA anymore, nor is she a member of the Batfamily, the Outsiders, or the Birds of Prey. Donna Troy is NOT dead, Spoiler is STILL Spoiler (NOT Robin!), Tim is still the Boy Wonder. Forget about the catastrophe with Blockbuster, Bludhaven, and Tarantula; Amy doesnt know that Dick is Nightwing, either; red-haired-freckled-faced-Josh-the-parking-attendant and the Outsiders dont exist either. Q: Anything ELSE I should know? *rolls eyes* A: *smirk* Well, since you asked, Tim Drake is back at Gotham Heights, not boarding school. He didnt like Brentwood so hes home. No, there is no story backing this up. Its just the way it is. Also, Babs and Dick ARE a couple. As in, theyre dating. An item. Together-ness. Kissy-ness. The L-word. Capiche? If you dont like it, well, either deal or turn back now. Okay, now that youve got all *that* stuff figured out Q: Will you link to my site? A: Sure, if we like it. E-mail us, and if we like it enough to keep visiting, or if we like you enough, its end up on the link page one of these days. Q: Can I submit a story, essay, etc? A: Can you? Please do! See the Submission Guidelines for details... Q: How come you guys rarely update with anything? I need my fixes now! A: Because we go to a grueling private school that loves to kill us with sports requirements, homework, and all the other extracurricular activities. On top of that, our families have their own expectations of us, not to mention church, jobs, and sleep. We DO work really hard, and hopefully things will pick up. (You try writing a series with 50 plus stories in it!) About The Series... Q: So, how did you guys come up with the series? A: Ashley first had the idea when she was becoming a fanfic-junkie, and was reading up about certain characters she had rather large interest in. Unhappy with the way some things were going, Ashley decided to take some things into her own hands. She had had the idea for a few main stories (maybe four at the most) and had been keeping silent on the whole thing. She wasnt sure anyone would accept it, and wanted someone to do it with her. Having recently gotten Lisa interested in the Bativerse, she finally told her about it. At first, Lisa was rather disinterested (and who would blame her?), but then she started asking Ashley about some of the lesser-known characters. Huntress became our now-and-forever favorite character. After reading bios and fanfics, slowly Ashley began having more and more ideas, and then Lisa started having some of her own, getting more into it as we went.and BAM! A series was born. But dont think that we came up with ALL the stories in one night. Many times weve stayed up past two in the morning (once till five!) talking about details, new story ideas, new characters, and how hot Dick Grayson is. ;) More Help.... Q: Hi, Im a Bat-dunce, but I want to read your series. I realize that Ill need a lot of info. Where can I find information on the characters, so that Im at least a little bit on your level? A: Youre in luck! Weve got bios on the site; go to the Biographies section to find em. Were trying to get those up fast so you dont have to go a few stories not knowing who people are. Or go to the Links section there, youll find all the links to all the info you need. If you still have a question, ask us! Well most likely be able to answer it! Also, a good starting point, whether or not you read comics, is to pick up the graphic novel, Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood. Yes, we keep bringing that up. Its a six-issue story thatll introduce you to a lot of main characters and their background, as well as the incident that kicks off the series. |
