SILVER KNOT RETURNS TO MYTHTROPOLIS -- AND INTO A STORM OF CONTROVERSY
The Silver Knot returned from Belunor in the Shattered Lands and into a hail of conjecture and criticism...
In their latest brief absence from their kingdom, impostor Super-Villains masquerading as the super-team discredited members of the group, causing all sorts of legal problems for Ironthorn, Cardinal, Rocco and other group members. Following a terrible act of sabotage that destroyed a Dwarven oil rig in the harbour and caused a massive fire, the Silver Knot detected the hidden super-villains as they watched their handiwork... A battle ensued, leading to the death of the humanoid shark villain Shagreen, and the capture of his team-mates Goblin King, Steel Shiv and Dasoon the Dread. Rumours abound that the super-villain team called itself the Elements of Surprise, in apparent parody of the state-sanctioned heroic team of the same name active back in the 1030s. All three of the surviving villains are now in custody, and facing capital trials for murder, resulting from the harbourside oil rig attack.
VINE, SPIKE DEPART THE SILVER KNOT
Needed by her ex-team-mates of the Psychic Seven, The Vine, accompanied by her companion Spike, has left the Silver Knot on a semi-permanent leave of absence. They will be based in the Spire Keep Village along with their surviving team-mates. There has as yet been no sign of their mentor, the mysterious spellcaster known as the Silver Seer.
RED ROBIN FOILS ROBBERY, CRUSHES SLAVER OUTPOST
Red Robin, newest addition to the Silver Knot, stretched her legs in her adopted home of Mythtropolis and struck at a group of robbers attempting to hijack a shipment of gems and gold from the Mystery Mountain region.
Following clues found at the robbers' HQ she then went on to find a coastal outpost taken hostage by settlers - within an hour's sailing distance of the capital! Facing stiff opposition Red Robin had no choice but to destroy part of the outpost, ending the threat posed by that slaver enclave. It seems that slavery, banditry and drug dealing are part of a rising tide of evil besetting the Wild Lands at the present time.
DOCTOR TAKION DEPARTS FOR PARTS UNKNOWN, NO COMMENT FROM THE PALACE
The mysterious magical advisor to the Crown, Doctor Takion, has departed his rooms at the top of the Westertower of the Royal Castle, apparently with no definite time of return. There has been no official word from the Master of Protocol or the Royal Heralds.
King's Brigade c-in-c, Brigade Leader Leontev, also declined to comment, and was somewhat disturbed that such a public level of knowledge of his unit's operations has been displayed...
