SILVER KNOT GAINS THE INITIATIVE IN THEIR BATTLES AGAINST AZAL

The Silver Knot emerged from Azal’s dungeons, battered but resolute. After contacting Cpt Almerica, Military Governor of Seacomber, the super-team set off into the Undercity of Seacomber to retrieve an artefact to aid in their quest. Utilising an entrance in the Undercity reportedly made by the Green Fireballs that previously ravaged the city, the Silver Knot soon found themselves battling elite Serpent People and their insidious traps inside ancient pre-Blackmoor tunnels. Aided by the super-strong martial artist Monkfish, the Silver Knot were able to make their way through the Serpent People domains without loss of life.

Upon besting a Sun Avatar in a riddle contest the Silver Knot were gifted with the artefact they sought. The artefact has reportedly been able to obfuscate them from Azal’s scrying, allowing them to gain the initiative against the ancient mummy. The death toll amongst Azal’s forces then mounted as the Silver Knot and the Sun Avatar cut their way through Azal’s forces in different directions. While the Sun Avatar was defeated the Silver Knot proved themselves equal to the task of escaping Azal’s clutches once again.

DWARVEN HEIR RESCUED BY SILVER KNOT

Just short of the Seacomber surface the Silver Knot encountered the survivors of a Dwarven and Gnomish band pinned down by Azal’s forces. The Silver Knot then heroically turned around and plunged back into Azal’s deadly dungeon in order to rescue the Dwarven and Gnomish forces, including the heir of Forkbeard. A spectacular battle between the Silver Knot and their new allies and well over one hundred of Azal’s horde ensued. Led by the master tactician White Owl, the Silver Knot and their allies easily triumphed. The hardy Dwarves and Gnomes were found and escorted back up the surface without incident, a stroke of good fortune that seems to indicate the Immortals favour for this resolute band of heroes.

RIOTING SUDDENLY CEASES IN SEACOMBER

With the city in ruins as a result of clashes between the rebels in Seacomber and the forces of the Crown the city of Seacomber began to move into a massive and deadly riot. Agitators of the vampiric and other evil forces stirred the city into tumultuous rioting with property and lives being threatened. But almost as soon as the riots began to get out of hand the people quietened as reason reasserted itself over the mind of the unruly mob. The crowds dispersed and headed home to consider their actions.

It is not known at this stage why the crowds suddenly dispersed so peacefully. Some suggest it was agents of the Crown removing the agitators within the mobs. Others suggest powerful magicks were worked to calm the crowd. And there are some who see the hand of the Immortals in acting to prevent the final fracturing of the city. Whatever the reason, the hostility that led to the rioting disappeared from people’s minds as if a dream.
