THE VINE, SPIKE TEAM UP AND FOIL PLAN TO INVADE SEATON
After quitting the Psychic Seven to pursue her studies, teenaged metahuman adventuress The Vine showed her mettle whilst visiting the University of Seaton by foiling a plan by the rogues guild known as the Iron Network to invade and conquer the city-state. She was aided in her battle against the rogues by a venerable Needleman adventurer known as Spike. Spike, despite his name and his reputation's unsavoury reputation, proved himself a true hero as he fought alone to free Vine when she was captured on board the invader's flagship. Spike's years of training in the service of House Blade of Secomber paid off hugely as he scythed down over a dozen rogues to reach The Vine, cut her free, and together with her destroy the flagship and with it the rogues' invasion plans.
After this exploit, the two vegetable vigilantes are believed to be heading back to Mythtropolis to seek membership of the Silver Knot...
