THE MURDER OF CAPTAIN ALISON GAR
Alison Gar was a ne'er-do-well ship captain who had fallen through the cracks in society and ended up as a streetwalker and worse. Her death attracted the attention of the Militia, and through them the superheroes who came forward to assist -- WHITE OWL - mysterious white-cloaked avenger of the night! SPIDER - man-spider ropeslinger and vigilante! MYSTERY - female super-soldier!
The investigation of the murder led the three heroes near and far across the rainswept cityscape, and into the lowest dens of iniquity along the lower Eastside and on Excise Island, an excremental hive of villainy in Ivyriensteine Bay.
It soon transpired that the heroes fought a series of battles against local thugs, the Iron Network and the Skullguard before discovering the identity of the murderer, a jilted lover of the dead woman, elvish pirate hunter Terillion Seawarden.
Captain Rock of the Silver Knot caught wind of what the heroes did in solving the mystery and crushing the evil rogues of Excise Island, and offered them membership in the Silver Knot. It seems both Mystery and White Owl will take the Captain up on his offer, if only temporarily.
