THE WAR OF THE ELEMENTS PART III

The KNIGHTS BELOW defeated the monstrous psionic Eye Emperor beholder known as The Web, but at a terrible cost. Most of the highest level characters in the Wild Lands are dead, the Elemental Planes are disrupted and agitated, and the chaos is only beginning... Heroes such as the Silver Knot, the Psychic Seven and the neutral Darkelves of Dashatar will have to rally to survive the coming storm...

THE SILVER KNOT REAPPEARS...

En route back to StaFira where the victory celebrations after the defeat of Skaggra were well underway, Rocco DeParle disappeared, stranding the ordinary mortals he was transporting near Daggerford. Following his psychic trail, his team-mates traced his movements, then they too apparently disappeared within a tenmile of his point of vanishing...

The SIlver Knot reappeared on the Prime, assisted by their other team-mates Shea O'Ryan the High Elf Champion, Bud the Plant Man and King of Diamonds the Thaluud Champion. Climbing to the Hlijdskjalf (high seat) on top of the Featherfall Cliffs where dwell the Bird-Men, the three team-mates successfully channelled the energies of the Element of Air and summoned back the rest of the Silver Knot from where they were languishing on the elemental planes. The returning team, led by Blackfoot, told tales of an elemental prison and disturbances across the Inner Planes. All seems grim.

ROCCO DePARLE of the SILVER KNOT meets DAVEY, GROMKIN, WILDFIRE and GOLD SHIELD of THE PSYCHIC SEVEN - the two teams get to know each other a little better

Rocco Deparle, the super-strong rock-steel ravager on the Silver Knot team met some of the teenaged heroes in the streets of Mythtropolis. The conversation was inaudible to passersby due to street noise, but it seems that the Psychic Seven are taking up residence in Spire Keep in the Southshire, away from the Silver Knot's base of operations.

THE SILVER KNOT BATTLES EVIL IN THE STREETS OF MYTHTROPOLIS - THEN DISAPPEARS AGAIN...

The Silver Knot took to the streets on their second day back from their adventures, attempting to enter a suspicious building off Wood Square in the north central district. As militia in attendance discovered after a storm squall passed and a huge flock of noisome birds was slain by a smaller flock of blackbirds, the Silver Knot has vanished once more...

Clerics of the Garlic Bulb Temple of Peace and Healing claim that a fierce battle was waged between the assembled forces of the Silver Knot (other than the Greenwood Ranger-Druid, Bud) and some sort of invisible monster, following which there was an exchange of blows with a trapped doorway that triggered an attack by a flock of defiled monster-birds. As the smoke of these brief battles cleared, the Silver Knot had disappeared off-plane again. It seems a hidden foeman had once again used the forbidden spell Unasked Banishment to send the team to a doubtless pre-arranged trap or peril on the Inner Planes - or beyond...

GREEN FIREBALLS BAFFLE SAGES AND SELLSWORDS ALIKE AS STRANGE VISIONS IN THE SKY MAY HERALD DAWN OF NEW AGE

From Sea Camel and Slagovich in the west to the Seven Shire in the east; from Zakhagon in the north to Mythtropolis, capital of Haranlarche, in the south -- people have reported seeing a huge green will-o-wisp at the site of largescale disasters and conflicts.

The green fireball or fireballs have been seen swooping near an Eastern Empire skyship en route for Mythtropolis' commercial sky docks, near the dead in the block of Mythtropolis demolished by a mystery explosion at a wizard's guild, out at sea near a sinking grain ship attempting to brave the Storm Season high seas and enter Slagovich harbour, and at several other points.

One question occupies the minds of Bards, Bellmen, Rogues, Sages and adventurers alike:

What is the origin of the green fireballs..?
