THE WAR OF THE ELEMENTS PART II

The KNIGHTS BELOW defeated the monstrous psionic Eye Emperor beholder known as The Web, but at a terrible cost. Most of the highest level characters in the Wild Lands are dead, the Elemental Planes are disrupted and agitated, and the chaos is only beginning... And the Knights Below have been dispersed. Their mighty quest over, they have gone their separate ways. Now they will have to regroup, to fight alongside other heroes such as the Silver Knot, putting aside any petty differences...

THE SILVER KNOT DEFEAT THE NECROMANCER KING SKAGGRA, THEN DIVE INTO THE WAR OF THE ELEMENTS

The Silver Knot managed to use the magical gateways known as portals to travel the 2000 or more miles to a legendary temple to a forgotten evil deity. Once there they managed to summon the Black Dispatcher, a monstrous genie from the Demiplane of Imprisonment. Once summoned, the dread djinni obeyed the Silver Knot's commands and stripped Skaggra of his invulnerability.

With his invulnerability stripped, and with the Wilderness Paladin IRONTHORN having zoomed ahead of the rest of the Silver Knot, battle was joined. Drax the Dragonslayer rescued the people of StaFira, the town near the arena Skaggra raised in the northwestern deserts of the Wild Lands. Ironthorn faced almost certain death at the hands and claws of Skaggra and his demon servants. As the rest of the Silver Knot's active roster -- Blackfoot, 'Dog and Captain Rocco -- appeared via teleportation, they witnessed Ironthorn engulfed in shadowfire before Ironthorn struck Skaggra's head from his shoulders.

THE SILVER KNOT DISAPPEARS...

En route back to StaFira where the victory celebrations after the defeat of Skaggra were well underway, Rocco DeParle disappeared, stranding the ordinary mortals he was transporting near Daggerford. Following his psychic trail, his team-mates traced his movements, then they too apparently disappeared within a tenmile of his point of vanishing...

More than day after their disappearance, their Thaalud team-mate the King of Diamonds is gathering forces to find and aid them. The King of Diamonds claimed to have sensed that one of the dreaded Sanctioners is already destroyed! Great news for the heroic forces of goodness.

THE PROTECTION OF THE WESTSHIRE NOW INCLUDES THE TOWNSHIP OF STA'FIRA

Ironthorn is not only a proud noble scion and a heroic champion of nature. He is also the ruler plenipotentiary and Viscount of the Westshire. Until recently the misguided brother of Ironthorn, known as the Potentate, ruled the shire. Then when the Potentate since became a permanent "guest" of the King in the Tour Captif, Ironthorn took over the reins of power in the Westshire.

Since Ironthorn has heroic duties to perform, and will do for many years, he has trusted his shire to a triumvirate of sensible Regents ruling a Regents' Council. These three wise Regents always defer to Ironthorn when it is possible to consult him and at other times utilise the realm's Model "Snake Scroll IV" Constitution, originally handed down to the people of Secomber in the year 1088 YAC, the so-called Year of Twelve Pageants.

THE PSYCHIC SEVEN LIFT THE CURSES ON THE REALM OF HARANLARCHE

The Psychic Seven are a new group of teenaged sellswords, dedicated to imitate their heroes of the Golden Age of Heroes as well as their current idols The Silver Knot. The Psychic Seven are GOLD SHIELD, she-dwarf tinkerer and windskimmer pilot; COLDBOLT ANGER, fallen paladin of Dyaous and street-level avenger from the port swamp city of Harandeep; THE VINE, princess of the vegetable kingdom; "GLOVES" OZVALT, barbarian rakehell; DAVEY and GROMKIN, a boy and his dinosaur; and "WILDFIRE" DeBRIEAULT, daughter of the mysterious WYLDFYRE of Daggerford, himself a retired member of the Golden Age team "The Youngblades" and master of the Daggerford Academy, a school for gifted youngsters.

The Psychic Seven acted shortly before their heroes of The Silver Knot disappeared. After being thoroughly scared by The King of Diamonds, who they didn't initially realise was also a hero, The Psychic Seven commandeered a newly-created skyjammer magical vehicle and set off for Davania. After a tempestuous crossing of the Dreadsea, they arrived after several side treks and found the Witches' base without further incident. Although almost all of the Witches escaped, the Cauldron of Time used by the Witches to create the powerful curses was hurled into the Dreadsea, lost at sea. In addition the zuvembi mojo dolls that acted as the focus of the curses were destroyed.

Bards and Bellmen in Mythtropolis are awaiting the return of The Silver Knot -- who The Psychic Seven are praying don't lose their cool when they see the repairs necessary to the Flitter..!

Despite their great success, the kid team is unlikely to get the same social status or accolades as the 'Knot -- due mainly to the raft of minor crimes they committed and the apparent hostility to them of the Militia Commissioner. It will be remembered that the Commissioner herself is a blue-skinned half-MoonMan metahuman who in her own adventuring days was called 'The Manhunter'.

THE PSYCHIC SEVEN's GROMKIN has the last 'word':

"RRAAOOOORRRRRRRRRRAAWWWRRRRR!!!"
