OGRE's Emporium
Rocco ran away to the sea. After a month's working the coastal runs around Mythtropolis Rocco signed on at Throg's Trading Company (recently bought out and renamed OGRE's Emporium. Rocco became the captain of the Maven II when he saw that none of the recruits were willing to undertake the task - Rocco had learned some of the skills required during his time at the Daggerford Academy and during his month at sea. He led the crew well, though not expertly, and earned their trust through his obvious care for his charges. At worst, the company employees who serve under Rocco think,
Rocco became a Principal of what was then Throg’s Trading Company when the previous owner was found guilty of criminal charges and imprisoned in a faroff Realm Beyond The Sky. Together with the other Principals, Rocco used his contacts and personal wealth to remove the debts from the company and keep it solvent during this crisis of management."He may be a monster, but he’s our monster."
Rocco’s ship, the Maven II, was docked during the vicious Storm Season while its captain adventured on land with the Silver Knot. It could be suggested that the crew of the Maven II had an easy time of it. However their captain expected them to help out with other company business and hold themselves in readiness for work and adventure. Rocco leads his crew from the front. He expects them to be willing to mirror his own readiness to combat danger. Many of the ship's crew risked life and sanity to battle the M'Wander spawn that recently attacked the company, a demonstration of bravery that made Cpt Rocco very proud of his crew.
When the Maven II was recently unmade and then re-made it was, at Lord OGRE's orders, inspected by the Proteus church, santicfied, blessed, and recommissioned as the Maven IIa. Rocco was made the captain of this vessel.
Rocco uses the company as a base, and while he is often absent, he shows a strong desire to see the company and those it employs thrive.
The company was recently taken over by Lord OGRE, a wealthy merchant and former team-mate of Rocco’s mentor Myth in the super-team 'The Youngblades'. Happy to see the company is such esteemed hands, Rocco has eagerly allowed Lord OGRE and his assistants to streamline the company’s business.
The Silver Knot
Rocco has been with the Silver Knot for only a short time, but has accomplished much in the company of so skilled a group of super-heroes. Having finally dealt with a troubled youth that saw Rocco run away from his responsibilities as someone with a super-powered bloodline, Rocco has accepted his duty as a hero. He does it because it needs to be done. In his words,
"Someone has to stand up and stop the bad-guys."
The Shrapnel Guild Explosion
FROM THE CITY DESK OF THE MYTHTROPOLIS GAZETTE:
"A recent explosion at the Shrapnel Wizard’s Guild resulted in the deaths of many of the Guildsmen and apprentices. The radiance surge that resulted from the blast would have caused many more deaths had it not been for the quick actions of Captain Rock of the Silver Knot. Captain Rock used his super-powers to remove the radiance and turn it into steam, leaving the ground damp, but safe. Three injured survivors were pulled from the wreckage by Captain Rock and then treated by a trading company surgeon, Dr Rook. According to the half-dragon hero the three survivors had been stabilised and treated with ‘glowing green’ bandages and splints. When asked to comment, Captain Rock seemed ecstatic, saying with confidence ‘he’s back’. There was one sole survivor of the explosion's epicentre, and he was miraculously unharmed. The figure, once his wits were restored, was revealed to be Aquarian, the Merman hero of ages past. After being reunited with his granddaughter by the charismatic barbarian 'Dog, also of the Silver Knot, Aquarian stayed to wine and dine the night away with Rocco and the Silver Knot before leaving for the briny in the morning."
The Farmhouse Murders
FROM THE CITY DESK OF THE MYTHTROPOLIS GAZETTE:
"The mystery of the recent multiple deaths in the rural district outside of Mythtropolis was solved this week by the Silver Knot. A creature from the depths of the earth had been summoned and ensorcelled by members of the Skullguard, who had instructed it to slay members of the local community. The earth creature rebelled and slew its would-be trappers. The Silver Knot discovered the earth creature and fought him in a battle that seemed to pit the elements themselves against each other, as the local area was rocked by winds and earthquakes. Ironthron defeated the creature, and removed its ensorcelment, restoring it to free will. The Silver Knot, having received recompense for the city from the creature for its compelled acts of violence, has taken custody of the so-called King of Diamonds in order to ensure the ensorcelment is truly broken and to safeguard members of the public. The Skullguard members responisble for the crime were taken into custody. The Blues investigation is being conducted by Cpt Dove."
Mylampar
FROM THE CITY DESK OF THE MYTHTROPOLIS GAZETTE:
"The Silver Knot recently visited Mylampar. While formerly know as the City of Dreams, Mylampar earned the epitaph "City of Nightmares" when it was overun by a cabal of vampires and humanoids. The Silver Knot tore through the city like nature’s own agents of vengence. Their mission was quick, but effective as they destroyed all of the evil agents of the city who opposed them. Mylapar’s vampiric heart was cut out and destroyed. The volcanic foundations of Mylampar themselves rose up to strike down the evil that gripped the city. Mylampar now lies in lava. While they risked their very lives in their search for those who had been held prisoner by the city’s rulers, none were found."
The Defeat of Skaggrah
The Silver Knot recently battled and defeated the evil necromancer Skaggrah. The necromancer had almost completed his ritual Become the Dragon, turning himself into a creature capable of consuming the whole planet, when Ironthorn (wilderness paladin and champion of the Westshire) attacked and slew Skaggrah. The necromancer thought himself invulnerable, but had reckoned without the Silver Knot's wise woman Blackfoot who figured out how to deprive him of his magical invulnerability at the critical moment. Skaggrah's numerous evil allies included over 200 members of the Skullguard who surrended without a fight to Captain Rock and 'Dog. The Silver Knot handed over Skaggrah's ill-gotten gains to the people of Stafira to help them rebuild their city, nearly ruined by the necromancer's attacks.

Shadowvale
Recently the Silver Knot found themselves in the planar town of Shadow vale - a city constructed in a plane of Shadow. The citizens of this town fed of various forms of "cattle" such as humans, demi-humans and other sentient beings. As the Silver Knot put together the facts and came to this grisly conclusion the team mood became decidedly grim and the team of super-heroes began to itch to unload their rage and cleanse the town. But the dangers were great. A Shadow Dragon challenged the group. Unfortunately for the great wyrm O'Ryan the Archer was not in a tolerant mood. The beast was slain before it could do more than announce its deadly intent.
The Silver Knot encountered a "haven" from the denizens of Shadowvale. The night cycle was approaching fast and not even the mighty mortals of the Silver Knot could hope to stand against so many Shadows. Shelter was sought in a tavern, a common haven for other travellers. Unfortunately for the cause of peace and compromise the fellow travellers were every bit as Dark as those outside. Glare came to insult came to challenge came to push came to shove came to right cross came to head-butt. After the hitting and the bleeding had stopped, the Silver Knot had triumphed and the Shadow vale Adjudicator had fallen. The Silver Knot were not out of danger for they were deep in enemy territory. But heroes rarely stand still when action is required and within minutes the doors were barred as the team settled in for a siege. Then came the Seeress of Shadowvale.
Shadowvale was led by a powerful shadow-mage seeress. She was an ancient being of immense power. She came to the tavern and forced the doors, easily overcoming even Blackfoot's magical warding. The Seeress demanded to know what had happened, and then demanded recompense. She was prepared to allow the Silver Knot to leave in peace. With but a little of the blood of one of them, a new Adjudicator could be made. Without a new adjudicator the town of Shadowvale and their community would fall into anarchy and ruin. To refuse was to fight the community of Shadowvale, a community of Shadows led by a shadow-mage more powerful than any of them. The Silver Knot, if they fought, would most assuredly lose the lives of some of their members. Sensing the mood of his team-mates, Captain Rock summed of the situation with these words: "If we leave them without an Adjudicator their civilisation will collapse and we will have sentenced them to a slow death. But seeing as they are soul-sucking life-stealing creatures of Evil I don't particularly care. So here Lady Seeress - take this copper piece and contact someone who gives a rat's! Get her 'Dog." Captain Rock has never had a prouder moment when every one of the Silver Knot stood and fought without doubt of hesitation. The Silver Knot triumphed and escaped without loss of life.

The Shield of Entropy
The Silver Knot moved onto the attack and won their first major victory in the War of the Elements by returning the Shield of Entropy to its rightful resting place. The mission was dangerous and nearly cost the lives of several members of the Silver Knot team, now aided by Air Templar Cardinal. But the cost was high and the only time will tell if the psychologically scars of the mission will heal over smoothly.

Secomber
The quest for the Elemental Shields led the Silver Knot to the Free City of Secomber. Wisely led and firmly guarded years previously by the First Man of the Republic Virchill "Snake" Deparle - the grand-father of Rocco Deparle. But much has changed in the time since President Snake's disappearance. Evil now holds sway within the city. Vampires rule through their pawns. The corruption previously purged has returned to pervade even deeper into the bureaucracy and militia of Secomber, and the powerful military is now ruled by Dark hands.
The Silver Knot was confounded in their search for the shield by the local Fools' Court - a collection of riddle-master rogues. Feeling the time slipping away from them as they were turned away time and again by the Fools' Court, 'Dog Knot took the sought after shield, by-passing the Fools' Court and making an enemy of this rogues' guild despite this rogue vs rogue solution.

The Silver Knot's Tower
Due to the generosity of His Majesty King Pelops III and Lord OGRE, the Silver Knot have been gifted with a stronghold. The new stronghold lies in the Mythtropolis harbour nearby the docks of the OGRE Shipping Emporium. The tower was rumoured to be haunted by shark-devils but Blackfoot and Captain Rock saw them off. Captain Rock redesigned the interior of the tower and arranged for it to be equipped to meet the needs of the super-team. The tower now stands ready to serve as the home base for the Silver Knot for years to come.

Rocco and the Skulls Tournament
Skulls is a fast but potentially complicated game of chance favoured by many ships' captains. As a ship's captain Rocco was invited to attend the 1101 Skulls Tournament, an event at the top of the social calendars for many of the world's ships captains. Each captain brings an item or items of worth to his/her fellows - be it monetary worth or an item of interest. A captain can gain much status if he/she puts as their stake an item of great curiosity such as an artefact from a lost civilisation or a rare piece of nautical lore. Rocco bought as his stake some of his souvenirs from his battles with the Hags and his adventures in the Dread Sea - all as a result of his status as former captain of the Maven II.
But while Rocco is able to defeat super-villains and withstand the torture of demons, he is not any great shakes as a card player. He lost in the first round. One of the captains to go through from Rocco's table was his good friend Captain Fortunado, an up and coming sea-mage to whom Rocco wished all the best fortune in the tournament. Rocco stayed at the tournament (the rest of the Silver Knot was off at Secomber) and spent a pleasant day with his fellow captains, not a hero, just as another ship's captain. A man amongst equals and amongst friends.
The next day was not so peaceful. News of the murder of Captain Gar had spread. As all of the Silver Knot are "Freeswords of the Militia" Rocco presented himself to the Blues as being willing to aid in the murder case. He then preceded to investigate what he could. His search led him to the eastern docks area of Mythtropolis and revealed rumours of missing young men - kidnapped or worse. As Rocco investigated with his magic he was struck down by a strange being with a powerful warded item - a black rod. The creature who attacked Rocco was part jackal and part man and had black fur. It/he/she was in a room with fresh skulls holding candles and stank of Stygian Evil. Its magic was powerful enough to strike down the super-hero for the rest of the day, leaving him unable to investigate further. Confined to his bed, Rocco used his contacts to bring two new heroes to refresh the weakened line-up of the Silver Knot - White Owl, the street avenger, and Mystery, the ace-pilot.

Pearlfield
The rebellious dome-city of Pearlfield was reclaimed and restored by the Silver Knot. The dome-city had been taken over by a diabolist (demon-wizard) some time previously and the people turned to stone. Unfortunately for the diabolist, he refused to surrender when the Silver Knot arrived. The diabolist and his bound demons were defeated in quick order by the Silver Knot due to the speed of 'Dog and the skill of White Owl. Ace-pilot Mystery proved her versatility by concocting a mixture to restore the citizens of the dome-city from their stone state. Wilderness Champion Ironthorn was able to restore the city's magic point and pearl fields to function levels. White Owl and Captain Rock were able to revive the city's ruler into revitalising the city's economy. The city has been restored!

White Owl and Captain Rock
White Owl, while new to the team, went above and beyond to set Captain Rock straight concerning his recent lack of flair. Captain Rock recently saw his True Love seemingly die. Not knowing one way or another has kept the hero distracted and off his game in recent weeks. He has kept going, unwilling to sit back when the world needs him and his skills, but was unfocussed and undisciplined. White Owl, with the help of a priest of Love, was able to set Captain Rock straight and refocus him on his tasks.
