| Welcome to Briarwood, a new, simplistic-based Teen rpg, for Yahoo. First of all, I'd like to make clear that I am not trying to take away from Tenarian rpers. Briarwood is not meant to be a revolt against Tenaria nor it's players. It is quite simply, for fun. It's very basic, when it comes down to it. Let me explain. Briarwood rpg is not played on Yahen, as Tenaria and Ayenee are. Briarwood is played on Earth, in England during the middle ages. There are no vampires, dragons, monsters, evil emperors with magic potions...all characters here are human. Royals, Nobles, Knights, Pesants, Squires, Maids, Servants, and so forth. There is almost an unlimited amount of character types. Each character type has it's own description. Next, there is no magic allowed on Briarwood. The only exception to this rule, is Wiccan-type magic that appears in those days. Herbs, Healings, Gypsies, and such. But no rones. No magic daggars, none of any of it. This is for one main reason. I've grown to dislike power characters, who enjoy killing every character they can, with mind-boggling special effects and silly spells that aren't very practical. Briarwood is completely the opposite. While fighting can be possible, all will be fought in T1, no questions asked. This is for two reasons. One, I find it most fair, and most popular, and Two, it is the only way Josting will work, which brings me to Tournements, Feasts, Balls, Festivals, and other events. Periodically, there will be several of these events. Tournements are the most frequent, with Knights Josting it out to sell-out crowds.
