Sunday November 16, 2003 Changes and Clarifications have been made to the Guild's Hunting Rules per our King's command. For ease I have placed it here also, please take a moment to read them.
GUILD HUNTS
ALL gold and items gained upon guild hunts (3 or more KHC fighting together) are to be given to the senior member that is on the hunt. The senior member will then turn the gold/items gained over to any Noble that is on at the end of the hunt who will then give it to the Noble that holds said items. If at all possible, gains from guild hunts should always be turned in to a Noble before leaving the realm.
SOLO HUNTS
When solo hunting any gold that is gained is your own to keep. The guild does not require you to give any of your own gold over to the Guild Fund, however we do encourage that you donate any above what you need. Guild funds are used to keep items in stock, purchase new armors and weapons, and eventually to purchase land for building our Kingdom upon. So if you have more than you need, please consider donating a portion to the Guild Fund.
Any items that you may gain while Solo Hunting are also yours to keep if it is something that you can use. However if it is something that you do not need/want/can use, you are required to donate the item to the Guild or give to another member within the guild that can use the item. You may request permission from the King to keep the item for trading purposes, but ONLY the King can give that permission and you should NEVER trade any item out of the Guild without first having gotten that permission from the King. Any Squire or Knight found to have breeched these rules will first be reminded of their duty to our Kingdom. A second violation can/could result in punishments being assigned them, up to and possibly including being rejected from the Kingdom forevermore.
Once an item has been given to the Guild, it becomes the property of the Guild and you forfeit any claim to that item/gold as being "yours". Should it happen that a Squire or Knight is removed from the Guild, any items or gold that had been donated to the Guild remains with the Guild. If you loan to another member an item that is yours and are removed from the guild, we shall do our best to return the item to you so long as you return any that had been loaned to you. If you are "loaning" an item you MUST have made it clear that it is being loaned and not donated to the well being of the guild.
*NOTE ~ Squires should not loan anything of theirs nor be loaned anything; ONLY Knights sworn and accepted are to have rights of access to the Guild's wealth as they have proven themselves worthy of such rights.*

Update in Bruce's Dev Journal!!
Tailoring is going to become a full fledged tradeskill in the very near future. I have most of this coded already and need a final design pass on the items, and the art for it.
NEW TAILORING SKILLS
Tailoring branches into 3 skills
1. Spinning Turn raw materials on a SPINNING WHEEL into string, thread, yarn or twine. Turn cotton into string, turn raw silk into silk thread, turn wool into woolen yarn and turn malacinth flax into malacinth twine.
2. Weaving Turn strings and threads into cloth and fabrics using a LOOM. Turn string into cloth, turn silk thread into silk cloth, turn woolen yarn into woolen fabric and turn malacinth twine into malacinth fabric
3. Sewing SCISSORS are used on cloth and fabric to turn them into clothes. Cloth turns into cloth clothes (cap, gloves, pants, tunic, and dress), Wool Fabric turns into woolen clothes (cap, gloves, patns, tunic, dress, robe). Silk Cloth turns into Silk clothes (cap, gloves, pants, tunic, dress, robe, and sash). And Malacinth Fabric is turned into magical clothes such as magic caps, magic tunic, magic pants, magic cloth gloves, and mystic robe.
Cotton comes from growing cotton plants.
Raw silk can be obtained from a new plant, the SALIK plant that produces a quantity of raw silk. Raw silk can also be obtained from spiders and other monsters.
Wool is obtained from sheep (new animal).
And Malacinth Flax comes from a magical plant that players can grow.
Foraging can be used to find salik seeds for planting.
With foraging skill of 30 or higher, a forager has a chance to obtain a magical plant seed called MALACINTH. Malacinth seeds grow into Malacinth Trees when planted with agricultural planting skill of 30 or higher. Malacinth trees can be harvested (use a scythe) of Malacinth Flax. *Harvesting will give no seeds.*

Bad Day in Hell...Part II
Hearing rumor of a most powerful new ore an crystals discovered within their realm that would allow the guild to craft the best of items, King Dorren calls out to his strongest. "Today my friends, we mine in Hell! We shall battle the fiends as some of us mine, and attempt to gain some red and black ores, sulpher crystals and obsidian!" Dorren, Sir Eddy, Centanoul, Cerrabus, Runsincircles, Ryan T, and I, Wolf Runner set out, hopes of gains upon our minds, but mindful of the challenge before us.
Upon arrival the group began mining immediately. All was well and our packs getting rather burdened, mainly with Sulpher Obsidian and Thrall ores. Having not yet found the powerful Red and Black ores, we decided perhaps they were a bit further into the region of Hell. Down we ventured, heading around the bend to the west, slaying the foul Hell Spawns, and HD's, mining as we went.
A bit deeper in through the pass, where the path turns back to the north. And then Woe befell us! The Gods were viscious indeed for our tempting fate. A Hell Spawn numbering 6 with 4 Horned Devils aiding them, materialized targeting several of us at once. We promptly headed back towards the narrow pass hoping to leave the creatures behind. Finding that the Hell Spawns could travel through the mountains easily, we ran towards our only escape, hoping at least to be closer to the portal before we fell. We all made it clear of the pass except for Cerrebus, who succumbed at the turn before the pass, trapped by minions and Hell Spawns.
We then were standing our ground near the castle, Runs and I healing our party feverishly. Dorren's and Sir Eddy's blades were slashing furiously. Centanoul was most cunning as he slipped behind the beasts attacking from there. Ryan was busy distracting the fiends, parrying out with his blade as any drew too close. Cerr was soon resurrected, and rejoined our ranks, then running down to his corpse and quickly regaining his worldly goods. Alas the beasts we had left behind near there followed his path back to us. Talazar in his rage, sent forth even more foul fiends against us. One after another we fell to their dark forces, eventually all dying at least once and upon resurrection rushing back to the aid of our fellows.
Desperately we battled on, hoping to be victorious in the end. Soon supplies grew short, left upon bodies difficult to recover. However, intent in our quest and solid in our faith of one another, we fought until the last. After many demons were slain, all recovered their worldy goods. The King seeing that all had been restored, equiptments recovered, called the retreat. Quickly we left the dark realm, battling through the plains outside of Hell's Gate, traveling towards the safety of New Korelth. Gasping from effort and battle weary, we gained safety at long last and gathered within the bank to see what remained of our mining efforts. A small portion of the ores and crystals left the realm of Talazar with us, but many were left behind, their burden too heavy to be carried while battling against Talazar's army. More than 200 sulphers, obsidian, and thrall, were left to remain with the foul creatures.
Having not yet found the red and black ores, the King swore we would venture back another day, to face Talazar and claim some of the ores for our own. For as good battles evil, we would need equiptment of the highest quality and the required metals were only available where darkness now reigned. It is up to us to bring those metals into the light, and forge them for the forces of good. So we shall keep trying, tempting the fates, praying that they would be kind to us as we soon face evil yet again in search of rare ores and mystical crystals.

OWA is at it again, acting out against ~A~ guild. ~A~ has decalred war on all of LoD for OWA's actions. Our King shall soon decide what level and how we shall support our allies in this matter. For now be wary. Also of EXTREME note. Earlier today Lord Angel and Blue Flame were attacked and looted at the mino's west of Parian by Dark Ice, leader of guild Z. He has been very active as of late in that area, so all need to be cautious traveling/training therein. Lower levels, travel in groups and always be wary. Woe that such strife has hit our realm, mayhap soon it shall settle. Sir Eddy, Capt. of the guard has gone Yellow in his alignment that all may know Evil walks these lands. Memebers take care, and travel safely!

The issues with LoD have been solved. OWA is just a fool and may be KOS by every guild including his own soon. You should still be wary of him, but do not worry about LoD. The did not have the power to back up his war hawking.
On another front, the new Wreedviper is KLOS now. He is a scammer and has yet to pay the old Wreedviper for the account. He also has a nasty habbit of dropping monsters on someone to kill them and then looting their bodies. He also asks people about their stats so that he can determine if he can beat them in a fight and pks them if he thinks he can. Lower level members need to be especially careful when doing anything outside of a town. This Wreed is a nOOb who unfortunately possesses the body of a power player. If at all possible, hunt with a higher level member and DO NOT give your stats to anyone!!!
Tuesday, September 9, 2003
Members of low levels need to be VERY careful of all LoD members and especially One Winged Angel as war may be imminent. Please report any problems with such people IMMEDIATELY!!! However, as we have not declared war against them, caution needs to be taken in all your dealings with them. If they leave you alone, leave them alone!

After tiring of hearing the people of the realm's boasts and brags, lies, and exaggeratinos, Sir Eddy placed a notice upon the walls of the realm which read: "Ladies, Gentlemen, and Children... this is easily settled, at 7pm dransik time just show up west of parian for a simple battle of 1 on 1. Instead of flooding this message board with a bunch of useless threats and brags, let it be settled in battle. With the timer bug, a true battle of multiple people is stupid right now and bragging on who can kill who is just as stupid. I will gladly match my sword against anyone on the server in a fair fight, and I'm one of the weakest of the beta crew, of course as I've stated before.... I'm a little to old to care about being the "badest" on the server.... I'm here for the fun, and this could be fun. So, for all that want to show how strong they "say" they are, just put up or shut up. Turn off your speedhacks (no owp, broadswords don't hit 4 times faster then poignards) wear what ever you like (spawn points are so close there will be no time for looting) with what ever weapon you chose and show us your masive abilities......"
At 7pm many of KHC was there, awaiting any challengers, particularly interested to see if any of the Guild MOB would dare to show. At a quater past the hour, none of the cowards had shown their hides. A few of other guilds had come to watch and a few to participate. Many duels were fought with honor, no stealing of other's goods, merely a show of skills and powers. KHC won some, and lost some, but mostly what could have been a dangerous affair instead changed to one of fun and good natured battles. Hail to Sir Eddy, Capt. of the Guard for this wonderful event. Perhaps once a month we shall do it again! It is good to know the strengths and weakness of those about you, and this way provides practice for all to be prepared should they be found alone on the road by a pack of Brigands with no Honor!

Today three Knights saw that their King grew weary of his tasks, and decided to take him out for a hunt of Death Tyrants that were rumored to be roaming about. Verily not long in their search, they came upon the foul beasts. Long did the King's sword battle through, with his faithful Honor Guard Tiggs at his side slaying all that ventured too near her King. The King's High Priest, LaQua and Priestess, Wolf Runner, healed the two often, allowing them to continue in the battle. Finally, wearied, the fiends had all been slain. Seeking through the aftermath of the struggle the King gave a smile saying, "This makes it all worthwhile!" In King Dorren's hands now was a rare +5 Long sword. To honor her, the King gave this sword to Tiggs to test out. Tiggs thanked the King, but suggested it would better be put to use by the Knight of the Rose that had not been able to accompany them all. The King, as well as the two mages, agreed and all set out to find Knight Mandorallen. Soon they found the Knight and with all gathered about him, the King presented this rare item upon his faithful Advisor and Mediator. The usually quick spoken Knight was rendered without words. All were humbled by his obvious gratitude and honor, and the dignity he displayed receiving this unsought gift. Happily all of the guild present headed to the Valley of the Giants to watch as Mandorallen tested out his gifted blade. Quickly he had slain all of the monsters that the others could find for him. With glee and mirth they brought more and more to him, happy in his delight of the blade's force and swiftness. Finally the festivities ended and while all were making their respective ways forth in their journies, Wolf Runner was heard to say and all agreed, "The Knight of the Rose now has most powerful thorns indeed!"
