PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Player of the week for (April 19th - April 25th) is IB Jimmy (Double XX) Foxx of St. Louis. There was several outstand performers this week, but Jimmy was the best. He compiled a batting average of .607 (17-28) and led the league with four home runs and a slugging percentage of 1.179. He also added two doubles and a triple knocked in nine runs and scored a league leading fourteen times himself. Jimmy hit safely in all seven games this week and is currently riding a thirteen game hitting streak.

Other Player of the Week Candidates:

SP - Ed Wells - North Dallas who was 2-0 on the week allowing four earned runs in 17.33 innings with an ERA of 2.08 with one complete game.

RP - Eppa (Eppa Jephtha) Rixey who was 1-1 with an ERA 1.04 appearing in all seven games allowing only 2 earned runs in 17.33 innings with four strikeouts.

OF - Freddie (Lindy) Lindstrom of North Dallas who for the week batted .586 (17-29) with one home run, four doubles and a triple, knocked in eight runs and scored six times with a slugging average of .897.

OF - Chuck Klein of Harlem who batted .464 (13-28) with two home runs and two doubles, drove in a league leading eleven runs and scored seven times himself with a slugging average of .750.
