PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Player of the week for (April 12th - April 18th) is C Spud Davis of the Sahara Jihad who for the week batted .536 (15-28) with three home runs and a triple, with eight runs batted in and six runs scored. He is currently riding a seven game hitting streak and had three hits in four of the six games he appeared in this week. His best game came on April 15th where he batted 3-4 with two RBI, three runs cored two home runs and a triple. His slugging percentage for the week was .929.Other Player of the Week Candidates:
OF - Paul (Big Poison) Waner of Montgomery who for the week batted .500 (12-24) with one double, one RBI and three runs scored.
OF - Earle (The Kentucky Colonel) Combs who batted .435 (10-23) with two home runs, one double and two triples, knocked in seven runs and scored six times.
3B - Johnny Vergez of Freemont who for the week batted .419 (13-31), with two home runs and a double. He also drove in five runs and scored four times himself.
SP Lefty Stewart of Hattiesburg who for the week was 2-0 with an ERA of 3.52, allowing six earned runs in 15 2/3 innings completing one game and striking out five.
