FREMONT OPENS UP LEAD TO SIX GAMES
Fremont (26-13) has rattled off six wins in a row, opening up their lead to largest they've seen all season. 
Harlem (20-19) is eagerly awaiting the return of Larry French who has been out for almost a month. 
Sahara and Pawtucket find themselves tied for third, at 19-20.
In the SouthEast, Montgomery (21-17) has kept within a half game of North Dallas (22-17). But far 
any away, in the basement, battle St Louis (14-24) and Hattiesburg (14-25), whose clearance sale of 
personnel continues this week. 



FORMER MVP LINDSTROM DEALT TO NORTH DALLAS
May 17, 1932 - "First place North Dallas announced yet another trade today, this time with division rival Hattiesburg. 
North Dallas receives 3rd Baseman/Outfielder Fred Lindstrom in exchange for 1st Baseman Gus Suhr. Manager 
Bill Terry said that this trade was made to help create depth in the outfield. The team also announced 
that outfielder Bruce Campbell will be sent down to the team's AAA affiliate, the Charleston Chiefs, to 
make room for Lindstrom on the 25 man roster. 
Lindstrom, 27, was a 4th round pick for the then-Mississippi Misfits. He responded by setting DBS 
records of 250 hits in 1928, along with a .375 batting average. He was elected MVP, leading the Misfits 
to the DBS title. His playing time had been greatly reduced as an arm ailment moved him from the hot corner 
to the outfield, and this year his playing time had been limited. He was hitting only .212 in limited play.
Suhr, 26, is a capable rookie first baseman, but has not seen any playing time thanks to Bill Terry. He 
is expected to step in for the slumping and aging Lu Blue in Hattiesburg.




PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joe Vosmik
Player of the week for (May 8th – May 14th) is OF Joe Vosmik of the Pawtucket Flying Dutchmen. For the 
week Jose batted .375 (9-24) with two home runs, three doubles, five runs batted in and six runs 
scored with a .750 slugging percentage. Joe’s biggest game came on the last day of the week where 
he went 2-4 with two home runs, three runs batted in and scored twice. Joe and all of the Dutchmen 
have benefited from the addition of Hack Wilson into the starting line-up.
