WEEK 3, 1932


NORTH DALLAS MAINTAINS LEAD
Fremont (13-7) Have continued to roll through April, with the number one pitching staff in the league. 
Sahara (11-9) has fallen off a little bit, and Harlem (11-9) has pulled out of last place, thanks to the 
pitching of Lucas and Crowder (both 4-0). Pawtucket sits in last only by a game at 10-10. 

North Dallas sits at 11-9, atop the SouthEast as Montgomery (9-10) sits back a game and a half. St Louis 
is off to another horrible start at 7-12, and Hattiesburg is in last at 7-13. 


SUGA SMACKS
Suga was recently asked who his baseball idols were growing up. He said he tried to model his baseball 
career after a couple of players from Philadelphia and one from Brooklyn named Win Noyes, Jing Johnson 
and Wheezer Dell. They may have not been the best pitchers in the league but they had style. As far as 
DBS players he admired it would have to be Homer Summa. Anyone that would start a clubhouse brawl over 
a danish is all right with me. As far as the recent slide of the Furtraders he says "the Doublewides 
are a lot better then the trailer folk I played in Georgia" 



BREAKING NEWS
April 16, 1932 - The Bubonic Plague have come to terms with sultry starlet Smil'n Mammy. Harry the Blackfish Jackson 
is growing concerned that the Plague is falling apart and former stars like Al Simmons and Jimmie 
Foxx seemed bored.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ernie Lombardi
Player of the week for (April 17th – April 23rd) is C Ernie (Schnozz) Lombardi of North Dallas, who 
for the week batted .435 (10-23) with one home run, two doubles, a triple, knocked in nine runs, 
scored six times himself and stole a base. Ernie had at least one hit in every game this week and had a 
slugging percentage of .739. Ernie also threw out both runners who tried to steal bases on him.
