KNIGHTS CLINCH TIE; NORTH DALLAS GAINS GROUND ON BURNS
The Harlem Knights (89-51) have clinched a tie, and will most likely become the first team in DBS history to repeat winning the pennant. The Sahara Jihad (76-65)
have lost 6 in a row, and 15 of their last 16. Pawtucket sits at 61-76, and Fremont is 57-85.
In the SouthEast Division, Montgomery (76-66) all but put away Hattiesburg (67-71), who have fallen to 7 games back and pretty much
are out of it. But watch out for the North Dallas 40 (72-72), who have climbed back to the .500 mark and are only 5 games back.
St Louis (63-75) are just winding out the string, possibly joining the 1929 Jihad and the 1930 Dutchmen in falling from first to last in consecutive
seasons.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rogers Hornsby
Player of the week for (August 28th September 3rd)
is 2B Rogers (Raja) Hornsby of Montgomery. Although

with these at-bats was high. For the week Rogers hit
three home runs and a slugging percentage of .714 with
nine runs batted in and four runs with one stolen

batted in for the week. Rogers came to Montgomery

over the hump, but appear to be doing their share this
year.
