The Harlem Knights (82-74) have won 9 in a row, allowing them to open up their lead over Sahara (75-53) to 6.5 games. During this stretch, Lefty Grove
came within one out of a no-hitter before allowing a home run to Montgomery's Wes Ferrell. Sahara has dropped fur straight, and might have run out of gas
heading through the dog-days of summer. But the rest of the NorthEast Division has lost ground, as well. Pawtucket (54-70) have dropped six straight, and
Fremont (52-78) have lost five straight to fall to 30.5 games behind the Knights.
In the SouthEast Division, Hattiesburg (62-65) ended their free fall by winning their last 3, and have pulled back to within four games of the front-running
Montgomery Burns (68-62). The Burns spent part of their week getting swept by the Knights in a three-game set, being out scored 33-4. Meanwhile,
injuries continued to hit the North Dallas 40, as they lost Rick Ferrell for two weeks. North Dallas (62-70) is only a few mere percentage
points ahead of St Louis (59-67), and only 7 games behind Montgomery.
