The St. Louis Bubonic Plague has been officially silent on the recent
comments of Harlem Knight pitcher Pat Caraway.  We find the comments to
be unfortunate and in poor taste.  Our city does have foreigners and
those who have become naturalized citizens of the United States - all
are in good standing with the community.  In regards to bastard babies,
our community practices strict chasity.

We hope that Mr. Caraway reforms his ways.  However, as long as Mr.
Caraway continues to enjoy the taste of seamen we do not see how this
can happen.
