Brother Knights,
Greetings to each of you. Our next business meeting is Sept. 6, 2001. We will need to quickly plan the pancake breakfast for the Sunday September 9th. We will also need some help in setting up the hall on Saturday evening. Please look at your calendars for October 20th and 21st, as we have been approached regarding the set up and take down of tables and chairs in the hall for a celebration welcoming our two new deacons, Pierce Murphy and Chuck Scoro. Thank you Marty for the K C installation dinner at OLR Aug. 4th. It was a great opportunity to meet with the Knights from the other councils in our area. Also, we will be interested in hearing about any news regarding next year’s State Convention being hosted at the Holiday Inn, Vista Avenue. Our Mass in the park and the parish picnic could not have happened on a more beautiful day. Everyone involved with the service did a wonderful job. Thank you to Ross and Dean for cooking at the parish picnic. Tom and Matthew had planned games for the kids. I visited the batting cage were Matthew and Mike were working with the younger kids. Thank you to both of you for sharing your time. I could tell the kids were excited about this new addition to our games. Thank you to Marty, Paul, and Walt. Each worked at a different station, getting the word out that the Knights were an active part of the parish. Let us pray that our ranks will be increased with additional men who will help lead others by their example. If I have forgotten to thank anyone, I apologize. I appreciate all that you do for the Knights and for the parish. I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting. May God bless each of you.
