August 2001 Newsletter
Brother Knights,
I would guess that we are all having a busy summer and certainly hope that the Lord has blessed you with adequate recreation throughout these beautiful days. Our next business meeting is Aug. 2, 2001. We have many items to address and unfortunately the turnout at the last two scheduled meetings resulted in less than a quorum. Please make an extra effort to be there this Thursday.
Marty has lined up a K C installation pot luck dinner at OLR Aug. 4th. All six of the Boise Councils will be represented. This event follows our 5:00 p.m. Mass. Bring the whole family. I believe Marty will give us more details at the business meeting.
Marty will meet with the K C program chairmen and officers 7:00 p.m. Aug. 16th at OLR. More information will be available at the business meeting.
Marty reminded me that Aug. 15th is a holy day of obligation, the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
Marty has reserved the Holiday Inn at Vista Ave. for next year’s State Convention. He will chair a meeting of all of the Boise Councils in Sept. to allow everyone to assist in pulling our combined resources together so that Boise will host the kind of Knights of Columbus convention that we can all have pride in. Great work Marty!
Parish picnic service positions will be discussed at the business meeting.
Pancake breakfast will be discussed at the business meeting.
Well I know I’ve forgotten something, so we will get it on the table this next Thursday. Hope to see you all then. God Bless.
Sincerely, Chuck Winn, Grand Knight
