1985 Suzuki GSX-R750. It came while I still had the Moto Guzzi, and was quite a culture shock. Razor-sharp handling and brakes, ridiculously powerful,and would pull "mono's" at will. It made the Guzzi seem ponderous and underpowered. But it was no tourer, long rides meant aching wrists, aching back, aching everything. And it was no commuter, it was just too hard to keep it within legal speed limits! But give me a twisty road and a Gixxer anyday to make me feel 30 years younger. I decided to retire it before my licence was forcibly retired. And rear tyre life of 4000 klms, & chain not much better, was not encouraging. But then again that may have had something to do with the way I rode it!
