My "resoration" phase. I purchased the burnt-out wreck of the bike which had been abandoned by the side of the road after back-firing through the carb & catching fire. My father (who rode these bikes when they were new) tells me it was quite common. Many months later, after countless hours finding parts, busting knuckes, swearing, making mistakes, & rebuilding, I found that some things from the "good old days" should left to fade away gracefully. It actually wasn't a bad bike, just old.
