Old World

• A melding of the older religions of Christianity and Catholicism. The most widely practiced religion in the world, and the most respected. Precepts are similar to our own modern day beliefs, God, Lucifer, etc. Like the Catholic religion was based in the Vatican City, the Old World Religion is based in Illumina. Every demon hunter follows this religion with at least SOME semblance of devotion. Think of them as most churchgoers today, and you�ve probably got the right idea.

Shainto

• Informally termed the hunter�s religion, Shainto is of course only practiced by hunters. It involves a polytheistic belief system; there are three different gods to the hunters. However, at the same time there is still a Lucifer-type figure, whose name translates literally to "Lord of the Dark", so perhaps it draws it�s roots from the Old World religion. A hunter will rise at dawn to complete his devotions, comparable to Islamic or Moslem devotions. There�s no real way to describe them; there�s no religion today like it. Semi-comparable to the eastern religions of Shintoism and Taoism, with a heavier emphasis on the mystical aspects of each.
• Zionus: The main deity of the hunter religion, Zionus is neither male nor female. The symbol of wisdom and compassion, Zionus is also a patron of those who are torn between two worlds (i.e. Half-breeds).
• Ashura: Fabled to once have been a hunter, Ashura is the god representing the hunt in the divinest sense. Ashura is the hunter god of battle and war, but also the patron of honor.
• Ilifa: The only goddess out of the hunter�s divine triad, Ilifa represents magic and mysticism. She is the patron of light and life, and a hunter will always look to her when they need a �miracle�.
• There are indeed other minor deities that hunters following Shainto will worship, though this variant is mainly only followed by Adepts and those from the Eastern stretches of Shuurai.
• Along with this divine triad of sorts, there exists a hundred or so more smaller, lesser deities that a hunter may pray to for guidance, support, et cetera.

New World

• The New World religion is a rebellious form of religion. It draws its basic belief system from the Old World Church, however has twisted its system of sin and redemption. In fact, one will NEVER find two New World churches that preach exactly the same thing. It seems they can�t even agree with each other! They view the Old World Church as �corrupt and unholy�, and hunters (The poor, misguided souls) �MUST be saved before their blasphemies become too great for God to forgive!� Think of them as right-wing religious fanatics, and you�ve got the right idea.
