Classification Information
Here is a listing of the various types of hunters.
Hunter Classifications
- Vampire Hunter- These men and woman hunt vampires of various kinds - after all, not all the undead conform strictly to the western conventional norms. From strigoi to nosferatu, to the Asian Guanxi and Kappas, vampire hunters go after some of the most dangerous quarry of all... On par with, at the very least, the quarry of the demon hunters.
- Demon Hunter- Trained as both priests and warriors in Illumina, they must practice the Old World religion at least. However, along with their studies of the Old World religion, demon hunters must also spend a certain amount of time studying in Eastern Shuurai, learning about demons that defy Western conventions, such ass the Tengu and the Oni.
- Witch Hunter- Trained as a priest, and a warrior; skilled in discovering signs of witchcraft. Devoted to Old World strictly. There are rumors that certain subdivisions of the order exist, but Thomas Corem fiercely denies it.
- Spirit Hunter- Atheists who can see spirits, but are usually doomed to eventually be blind to the physical world. All spirit hunters are Seers, though no Seer begins life blind, save Arminius Corelsti. Spirit hunter techniques operate on the spirit plane itself, therefore no specialized training is required.
- Lamia Hunter- These guys must be dead from the waist down; Lamia are very seductive. It should be noted that there are a surprising number of women in this order, as make Lamia are very rare... And the men of the order are a bit... shall we say questionable in regards to sexual preferences?
- Were-beast Hunter- The only hunters who can use lightning magics, there are a surprising number of shifters amongst the ranks! Pluth Vance opens the ranks to any who wish to train amongst them; it's rumored that the Lord Master may be half shifter himself!
- Golem Hunter- Skilled in endurance, as Golemns can recreate themselves! And patient, patience has a BIG factor... Golemns as spirits of earth, can be crafty and wicked...
- Mutant Hunter- Often skilled in many different forms of fighting, and very agile! Skilled in perception, as not all mutants are easily recognizable.
- Lesser Dragon Hunter- warning, a Lesser Dragon itself is about as tall as a three story building, built long, lean and lithe like a serpent, and endowed with magics.
- Greater Dragon Hunter- Warning, these guys have a habit of DYING! A Greater Dragon is about six to seven stories tall! Built heavy but fast and strong, these beasts breathe a variety of elements... Not fun at all.
Forbidden Classification
- Renegade Hunter- Men and women who scorn the hunter ranks to do their own thing. Despised by hunters, they resort to any means necessary to get their job done, even if it involves hurting humans or destroying property.
