| Summary: Ash is sent back to the middle ages via the Necronomicon and must defeat the Army of Darkness. | ||||||||
| Plot: Ashley Williams or just plain "Ash" (Bruce Cambpell) and his beat up old car are thrown back to the middle ages and is soon locked in chains and heading to the castle of Arthur he is thrown into a well and attacked by a "Deadite" whom he easily dispatches via his trusty chainsaw, hailed as a saviour Ash is given wine and women but of course he must retrieve the Necronomicon (The book of the dead) to return to his own time, so Ash heads (With some trepidation) to a graveyard wher he is attacked by mini-evil versions of himself, he swallows one and soon its growing out the side of him, finally it splits apart from him and becomes "Evil Ash" of course the two have a brawl and it ends with Evil Ash being blown away (Remember shop smart shop S-Mart) so marching onwards Ash retrieves the book of course he doesn't get every syllable of the magic words right (Klaatu Barada Ni-cough) so now the Army of Darkness awakes and so does Evil Ash, the Army of Darkness unleash a reign of terror on the little village but of course Ash and his buddies concoct several weapons to kill of the Army (Very funny scene with the car smashing them all up) finally it all boils down to a well done sword fight between Ash and his dopple-ganger. Of course it ends with Ash returning to his own time but having messed the magic words again he must fight another stray Deadite (Another amusing scene) In the alternate version Ash having screwed the words up he awakes in a Mad Max style world ruled by the Deadites. | ||||||||
