| After one season of college basketball in each Marshall and Florida Colleges, Williams apllied for the 1998 NBA draft. He was picked 7th overall by the Sacramento Kings. He was runner up for the Rookie of the Year voting (behind Vince Carter) and was named to the All-Rookie First Team.In his First Season with the Kings Williams showed off his talent leading the Kings in steals (1.90) and assists(6.00) and 100 three-pointers and came 4th on the team in poiints averaging 12.8 a game. |
