Louis enjoys the outdoors. He likes backpacking, camping, fishing, hiking, riding a motorcycle. He's smart, sweet, has good values, caring, honest. He likes blue and green, playing with dogs, listening to music. He can be grumpy in traffic and can be be quite stressful when he is making his points:). He sees and hears a lot of things that I cannot (sometimes i wonder if i am half-blind or half-deaf hehehe). This is Louis, the man i know was destined to share the rest of my life and this is our story ... |

The Beginning |

The internet - the virtual world that transcends geographical and social boundaries. Yes, Louis and I met on cyberspace. I was in Los Angeles sometime in July for a vacation. Louis has just arrived in California too for a job assignment that will last for six months. We found each other on ICQ. We chatted for about a week, got comfortable with each other then we decided to meet for coffee - Starbucks. |

From the moment we met we knew there was something. Can he be the one ? We then started going out - Hollywood, San Juan Capistrano, Sta. Monica, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry farm, Six Flags, Grand Canyon, movies, eating out, going to church on Sundays, going to the beach, driving on top of mountains, staring at the Pacific Ocean, or simply just being with each other. And as time passes by, we were slowly falling in love ... |

The Proposal |

Sta. Monica Pier, New Year's Day, 2004 ! Louis and I met. We arrived at the beach and Louis said that we just stay on top of the stairways overlooking the Pacific Ocean. And so we sat there ( people passing in front of us, the sound of music around us and the mystery of the Pacific Ocean in front of us). Then he got the bottle he brought and we had our new year's toast and then suddenly ... he got something out of his pocket, a small box and then he opened it. It was the most beautiful engagement ring i have ever seen ! Then he just asked - "will you marry me? " Oh my God ! And all i did was cry. He just embraced me and kissed me. Then he asked - is that a yes? "Yes, yes, yes !" |

That same night i called my sisters and then my mom and told them that Louis proposed. They said they know. Louis asked for my hand in marriage before he even asked me ! Louis is indeed the sweetest and most loving person I have ever met. |

God makes all things perfect in His time. And i know that Louis is the perfect gift, the man i know i will love and share the rest of my life with ... |
