Flights #2 and #3. Well I took the plane out to the field again today. I had taken it out to the field the day before with resulted in a head on crash to the ground right after lunch. I had to completely rebuild the front end. I also managed to break the folding propeller by sticking my hand in it, to test its operation. (ouch!!!)
But today I got two really great flights in. On the first flight I almost landed in the jungle again, but managed to just barely miss the swamp. I also got some good gliding time in and I think I almost got some thermals.
On the 2nd flight a good wind came up and I just kept the plane flying right above me headed up wind. That was cool. It also gave me a good chance to practice while watching the plane up close.
And since the all the motors I mail ordered seem to be broken I got one of the smaller motors I got from the hobby shop to work. This gives me more flight time. I don't know what is wrong with those motors. I guess you are supposed to break them in by running them for � hour without a load on them.
