Traveling into Belgium for the first time on a business trip was very exciting. It was also more exciting that I have to rent a car from Brussels airport and drive to Leuven. Leuven is located about 30 kilometers east of Brussels. My hotel was located at the middle of the down town Leuven. Finding the hotel at midnight under heavy rain was really a big challenge.

Nowadays Leuven is a real "student city", as during the academic year most citizens in its centre are students. Most of the citizens talked English and I have no issues stopping my car for asking directions.

Belgium is very famous for chocolates and beer. The Leonidas chocolates are the first I tasted in Leuven, Belgium. The smooth creamy taste of this rich Belgian chocolate is one of my favorite memories. These chocolates are made with fresh butter and cream.
