The concepts within the book are explained with reference to the design
and construction of a home because this is something which is readily
understandable. We also want to let homeowners know that they can use
the most sophisticated management procedures to effect maximum cost and
time savings. As a direct result of this book, a homeowner with no knowledge of the construction industry will become more knowledgeable about the management principles than most designers and contractors. Even though the book was written for the average homeowner to fully understand and utilize, the principles espoused are common to all construction projects. In some cases, some of the technology would normally be a little bit of an overkill for a single home. But, because this book was written for the benefit of thousands of homes, we were able to use the economies of scale to provide information and tools that would not normally be economically viable for the building of a single home.
