Things happen in our lives.

We don't know why they occur

Or exactly what the reason for them is.

But there is always a lesson to learn

And a choice to be made

The lord gives us these roads

To help us grow and expand.

And due to his loving contest

I found the world's greatest friend.

Someone who only a short time ago

Was only a name on the screen,

But now is a living soul

Who means the world to me.

This person who used to be a name

Has opened my eyes

To a new world of love and life.

He showed me a caring person

Who is always there for me.

His eyes shown like two beacons

That I know will lead me home;

His arms held me tight

To keep me safe from harm;

His voice was soft and gentle

That always brought a smile;

And the memories that I have

Brightens my life.

His warmth and sparkling personality

Changed my look on life.

Who would have thought

That this person who used to be just a name

God had intended him to be

My best friend in the world.
