And it's not very hard for others to see.

My parents mean the world to me

And they helped me to grow independent and free.

They watched me throughout the years

And along the way they have shed many tears.

I know they have a lot of fears

And would like to keep me near.

But I will always remain in their hearts

Even though today a new chapter starts.

We will never truly be apart

Because they hold a special place in my heart.

I will graduate in a few days

And I have so much I want to say.

I love them both in my own special way

And that's how it will always stay.

I wrote this poem to tell you

That no matter what we do,

I will always have you two

To help me with all that I'll go through.

And to tell everyone

That we'll still have fun.

Even though I've grown from ribbons and curls

I'll always be their little girl.
