1st I bought a magazine about computers from Bulgaria. I knew about Linux from the internet, but I haven't got any distros. In the CD of this magazine I found Peanut Linux 9.2 . I tryed to instaall it, but I had Windows XP and no other partitions. I found a program called Partition Magic 8 and I repartitioned my hard disk (2.5 GB). For Peanut I made 500 MB partition (ext3). I installed Peanut and lilo (MBR). When I first started Peanut I liked it very much. After that I found some problems with my sound card and Greek language support. My sound card was Aztec and it was not compatible with Linux. This was bad. I used Linux and Windows together. After this I changed my PC. I bought a laptop. I installed Windows 98 on it. Then I found another Linux distro ,Knoppix. It runs from CD with no installation. Live-linux-filesystem...and...again..the same problem, no sound. My second PC was not compatible with Linux. I had another problem... I had winmodem, but I found Linux driver.
In the future I am going to buy a mainframe (server) and ADSL (fast internet). I will make my own homepage like www.kmn.com :) . I also want to learn java or C/C++ to make Linux programs. Now I have Red-Hat 7.3. That's all for now. Bye.
New! mini Linux distros for download!
